saw this in development at the studio, looks even better in the flesh and seems quite enjoyable.

I think this could do a viva pinata on us all

So you've got all the enviromental interactivity you get in GTA combined with all the enviromental interactivity of the Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.
    That's awesome.
Then, remember how much fun GTA is with cheats, excpet it's so short lived because the game isn't designed to play with them? Now this game has that kind of mad gameplay as the base-line for the design.
I think this is one of those rare GTA clones that actually understands what makes those games fun to Play. And tries to elaborate on that.

The graphical style is really coming together. It's looking far better than it did in the early shots where the cartoon type style really did not look that good. Now it actually looks very nice.

Could use with some more detailed main character animation, but overall looks nice and fun.

I was already looking forward to this game, but now...It's made a good few strides further in my estimation, courtesy of the extended development time. Well done RTW, this is looking great. Now just to pre-order and wait! :D

    Wait, what is this? :p

    It looks good.

Is it really a GTA clone or is it just based in a city?

    What a perculiar looking game.
  • mattigan #11 6 years ago

Main character looks a bit "floaty" when running around.

I read that the creative director of RTW David Jones worked on GTA 1 and 2 in Edge I think

am I the only person that thinks this looks shite. the character looks daft jumping around the world and looks like he is floating above the ground when he walks?

This is going to be like Just Cause, great to play for an hour then you get bored. I will have to play a demo b4 I even think out buying this title.

Just give the main character a parachute an grapling gun an gaming heaven here we come!

Crackdown=Just Cause + gun play where actual skill is required!!!

That looks great, they seem to have toned the purple down aswell. Im sure I read that the central missions are based around assasination and that all the targets travel around the city independantly. The aim is to bleed information on their whereabouts from their underlings and then hunt them down but apparently it means nobody will complete the mission the same way twice.

Im very very interested in this now.

"I read that the creative director of RTW David Jones worked on GTA 1 and 2 in Edge I think"

He created GTA back when Rockstar North was DMA. Lemmings was his too. Great guy - modest, approachable and genuinely all round nice guy.

It looks really spartan and empty.

And the way the main character skates is just odd.
