    Lovely stuff..

    360 port please!
  • MotoRev #2 6 months ago

One of the greats. Think we'd only be disappointed by a console port. Leave it from whence it came I think.
  • TexMurphy01 #3 6 months ago

    Very interesting.

So EA fucked up Red Alert with RA3 and Tiberium with CnC4. Let's hope they don't mess this one up too or C&C will be dead :(
  • ozthegweat #5 6 months ago

I've read somewhere that it's gonna be a PC exclusive.

I am not sure whether i should feel excited or concerned. The first generals is among my favourite fast paced RTS games. It looks the part for sure and Biowares name does insure some meassure of quality and polish but in such games gameplay and strategy/tactics itself plays a much higher part. In this respect i am concerned. Still very excited though.

    well, I'm excited and concerned...

wait, 2013? playing it safe, uh?

Bring C&C back to its former glory!
  • LHH #9 6 months ago

Nah. C&C died a long time ago, there was once hope but I'd rather the franchise be left to age now, especially after EA raped the shit out of it.

    I did enjoy C&C3 though...

Could possibly work on the PS3 with move controller but 360 would be waste of time RTS games are just not that fun to play with a gamepad.

    It is a PC exclusive.
  • arcam #11 6 months ago

If people (devs and gamers) weren't so sceptical of using a mouse on a console there's no reason this couldn't be multi-platform. But they are, so it isn't.
  • username84 #12 6 months ago

Yeah keep it on PC. I love my 360 but whenever I've tried a strategy game on it it's failed so miserably.
  • username84 #13 6 months ago

@arcam I agree. If there was a reasonably priced mouse and keyboard for the 360 that would open up an entire genre of gaming. I find it a bit annoying jumping between my PC and 360.
  • cyacomini #14 6 months ago

I haven't played a game on my PC since Settlers 10th Anniversary Edition.

I don't think my 3 year old DELL XPS laptop could cope with this C&C.
  • McLovin85 #15 6 months ago

I never understand this because the PS3 can support bluetooth keyboard and mouse so if they bundled a cheap set together like they do with the instruments on music games everyone would be able to play it.
I don't see there being an issue unless I'm missing something...

Command and Conquer 3, Red Alert 3, Supreme Commander 1 & 2, Tropico 3 & 4 all work fine on the 360 with a controller. The 360 ports of those games might not be as good as the PC versions but i've still enjoyed them.
  • xuiton #17 6 months ago

if that is in game footage, that is a day one purchase for me.
  • cyacomini #18 6 months ago

    @Segaswirl

Haven't tried Supreme Commander - loved the rest of your list though. Well, Tropico 4 is coming for my Christmas but I know i'll love it :)

I thought Generals was the best C&C of all time so I'm looking forward to that. Loved the Al Kaieda faction - suicide bombers, making sneaky caves all over the map, and of course the 'angry mob'.

However since I grew up and no longer get student loans to keep my PC upgraded - I'm hoping for a 360 port. Halo Wars did a decent job of converting RTS to the gamepad. Radial menus ftw.
  • acuratebob #20 6 months ago

HALO WARS was and still is the best RTS availbl eon console, the controls for it were perfect and shows that an RTS can work on console.

C&C G2, for me at least, is one massive hope that they DO NOT release on xbox.cause RA3 was good, but no way id play it without my mates on a skirmish...

C&C G1 is my fave PC strategy game, im still playing today, i love it!

It the best C&C game to grace my screen and will be until 2013...
  • ajaxpliskin #21 6 months ago

Thank god they left us with Kanes Wrath before doing Twilight. I love that game so much that it almost makes up for C&C4.

Uh, Twilight. Even the name sounds dirty.
  • ajaxpliskin #22 6 months ago

@Nodka I'm a long time PC player, but I have got Kane's Wrath on 360 aswell as PC.

I have to say that the controls on the 360 pad for Kane's Wrath are exceptional. If you take the time to learn them, you can do things pretty fast.

You should check it out if you see it cheap.

Absolutely cannot wait for Generals 2 on PC though :D
