I'm still wondering when games makers are going to catch up to the simple choice of your characters sex that mass effect gives you.

It should be as simple as providing a male and female lead for the game. Take alone in the dark for instance. How many of you know that the new game could just as easily have had you playing as Emily Hartwood instead of Edward Carnby? Not many I'm guessing. Yet the original alone in the dark gave you a choice of playing a male or female. That was how many years ago now? 10? 15?

We seem to have moved backwards instead of forwards when it comes to catering for both sexes in video games. Why I couldn't tell you. Especially as there are more women in the industry than ever before.
