Now don't get massively excited, it's quite short, but it's also undeniably beautiful. Also, and we're not saying it's a bad thing, there does seem to be a little bit of 'influence' creeping in from a certain other recent racer.

It looks pre-rendered to me as well. A couple of bits look like they might be in engine but its difficult to say really.

Xerx3s, the CG next-gen stuff? PS3 did get some nice ones like this, yes.

The in-game screenshots actually don't go too far from this.

that makes the game look f**kin' awesome but sadly it looks very pre-rendered and yes it bears some resemblance to 30t0r5t0r3

I love Colin McRae games, if it's half as good as it looks on this, this is looking like a must buy

The screenies have some kind of roof mounted camera and the crazy out of body 3rd person camera that plebs use, but is there going to be an in car view?

Guys this is NOT INGAME. Let me just repeat that, it is NOT INGAME.

It was up on IGN's website yesterday and they said it is so it must be true cause IGN said it so there..

Is to it much to ask for some goddamn ingame footage of DIRT and SKATE!?

Looks indeed like MotorStorm. What the hell are dune buggies doing in a McRae title?!

Might very well be prerendered but doesn't look much worse than in-game Motorstorm, so the finished game might come quite close...

I hope the GTA IV trailer/teaser this evening doesnt do the same and actually show some in game footage.

This dirt trailers is blatantly Pre-rendered...although at 53 secondes (when the camera zooms into the stearing wheel, the graphical style changes noticably and it is possible that it could be in game for a few moments.

PRE-RENDERS SHOULD BE BANNED FROM USE IN TRAILERS.

I very much doubt they would mix in-engine and pr in such a subtle way.

Its important to clear up the difference between in-engine and other wats of sort of describing the same thing. In-engine to me means rendered in real time, as it would be in the game.

Using in-game assets to make a pre-rendered movies is still not really in-game, as all sorts of mid/post-prod effects can be added without hitting the frame rate.

Looks very nice. This CGI is what sells games unfortunately. The actual game will be the same old shit we've all been doing for the last ten (or more) years.

And it's a rally game. Beat the clock. Woooo. 'citing.

there's a proper "in engine" trailer somewhere on the xbox-scene forums. doesn't look quite as sexy as this but to be honest it's not too far off. certainly the best looking racer i've seen so far (and i 've been playing GTHD and motorstorm today)... i'll try and dig out a link... maybe
