One of the main flaws of almost all of Barker's works, I've stumbled upon (and I only watched Hellraiser and Candyman movies and played the Undying to be honest) is that it depends on gore rather than suspens to scare you. This seems to be a similar case, although it may be too early to make that kind of judgement.

Undying is probably the scariest game I've ever played, at least the mansion bits are. SERIOUS tension and atmosphere. That game was so awesome way back when.

yeah the mansion parts in Undying were superb, great atmosphere and no real gore. Rest of the game did not quite live up to that though.

However if this game is as good then I'm definitely interested.

I wish Barker would write the third Volume of Abarat. I need that book.

It's a pity CB has to be assosciated with these two films forever. He's written a whole slew of great books, but nah... let's put "Candyman" as one of his most memorable contributions to culture. Granted, it's one of the most well known pieces of work - but in all honesty it was pretty crap. Hellraiser is still pretty good though. Same for Nightbreed, if one is willing to look past the early nineties air lingering over it. There's a good piece of film and story beneath all the cheese.

This trailer was the poop, though. Only thing making it interesting was Barker's name.

Shoulda made Clive Barkers Weaveworld instead.

Maybe someone will develop it for the Wii and release it with knitting needle controllers.

What r u all bitching about? The graphics in the trailer were cool, and seemed like rendered gameplay fottage, so i'm guessing the game will look good. Also, u can count on Barker to make the story interesting enough to keep you playing.

Also, squad based. Imagine you setting up your team at a location and fortifying it for a full on survival-slaughter. So far we've only seen zombies/monsters vs. the player, rather than a whole team. Another thing: think CO-OP.

Don't kill me, i mean I'm just thinking here. I agree, and my bet is it wont have many realy scary parts if u'll be with the team all the time, but still as a action-horror zhis game has potential to be realy fun. Until some actual gameplay footege is out we wont be able to tell that, but i'm willing to keep my hopes up with all the crap being released today. All graphicly-enhanced no-brainers.
