Yeah whats with the tiny gameplay on most of the video, is it always like that or an option ? Looks like Lemmings
  • zoweewowee #2 2 years ago

It's an option, if I remember correctly you have 3 different zoom-views. Anyway, I can't imagine myself playing with that view. More than that, I think it's a bad feature as venturing through the castle, losing track and having to remember your way is traditionnal Castlevania. The good point of this video is that it made me want to dust off my GBA to reboot Aria of Sorrow :)

What a pointless video, if you're going to show the first 15 minutes you should really make a point of demonstrating the 3 zoom options within the first couple of minutes.

Also, if you die halfway through maybe you should just start again?

Not that I want to sound ungrateful, like.

The game doesn't look great... certainly not from that horrid zoomed out view. How on earth can anyone play a game like that?!? :o

I think I now understand why EG only awarded this game a 4...

I like classic arcade games, I love repetitive hack n slash games, I don't like games that require a telescope to play. >:Z

Too big. Needs to zoom out even more. I want to see the code around the castle.

Indeed a useless video, capture it in the zoomed in mode next time.

the zoomed in view seen at 13:10 onwards isn't much better. and how anyone could play with the waaaay zoomed out view seen after that I have no idea.

I think this guy rated the game down because they don't know how to play castlevania properly. They've chosen to play with that view so of course it will make the game look clunky. I for one will download the demo and make my own mind up. Seems like a fairly standard Castelvania to me and that isn't such a bad thing. Certainly not 4/10 bad. The zoomy thing does take some fun out of the exploring though...

Nah, the reviewer mentioned the zoom-modes, he even mentioned only one of them was useful (the full zoomed in mode)

If you want to see a decent vid watch the quicklook at Giantbomb.

how could this mess even make it through XBL quality standards? You simply CANNOT SEE what's going on.

The camera views are perfectly fine when actually playing the game. I'm really enjoying it so far.
