    I dont care what the scores say.I am going to buy this game because it looks fucking amazing and epic.
    Even if some say its a GOW/SOTC which has nothing in common with the original castlevania...
    I dont care. I want it.

    Let's support Mercury Steam for there is great potential here.

    I tried the ps3 demo and surprisingly for me, really enjoyed it. Its absolutely stunning!. This could possibly be the best looking console game ever. At least until Crysis 2 comes out.

    Not watching the video (spoilers everywhere) but just wanted to say I genuinely can not wait for this to arrive in the post, it's been a long time since a decent adventure game was released. (Darksiders)

    Yea, this one truly shines. Besides GOW and SotC are awesome games, so why not borrow from them ;)

    I am genuinely looking forward to this. Feels like ages since a decent looking action-adventure game with a good, longer-than-10-hours story was released.
    The voice actors are excellent here, too =)

    @Lunatic
    This was originally planned as a new IP (Lords of Shadow), but Konami thought they could probably sell more copies by slapping "Castlevania" on the box and touting it a reboot ;)

    I'm waiting for confirmation from Shopto that this (and Enslaved) has been dispatched. They've never let me down before...

    Come on Shopto, I've got some whips to crack!

    Dunno why this vid was posted because it's the same as the released demo.

    "Dunno why this vid was posted because it's the same as the released demo."

    Maybe not everyone can download the demo. Or not everyone has the platform to play it on. :)
  • Tallon4 #9 2 years ago

    @Syrok: I think the only people watch this vid are the ones considering buying the game and those people have a ps3/360.
    But I could be wrong though.

    Oh, bloody hell, Patrick Stewart narration! Sold.
  • neems #11 2 years ago

    @Tallon - I only have a half meg connection, so downloading a huge demo is a bit of an undertaking. This way I get an idea of what I'm looking at.

    @ro-kurorai:

    Not quite, Konami had three different developers working on three different potential Castlevania games (which doesn't sound very cost effective to me, but there you go!), and then cherry picked the one that they liked best.

    Or at least, that's what I read in gamesâ„

    I enjoyed the demo, though i found the controls a little confusing. It looks nice, but the shine effect off the rain is a little strange.

    Patrick Stewart for the win :)

    Loved God of War III so I'd welcome more of the same in a different skin. Tried the PS3 Castlevania LoS demo last week and thought it was brilliant; heavily scripted, yes, but no less exciting to play because of it plus it's gorgeous to look at and the cinematics add a lot of atmosphere to the game. Combat looks spectacular and feels intuitive with only the fixed camera causing minor irritations now and again.

    Would have liked to have bought the 360 version, purely for the controller preference, but the reports about the framerate issues in two reviews I read put me off so I pre-ordered it for the PS3. However from watching that demo it seems that the 360 version is identical to the PS3 demo in every way to the point where I wouldn't know which was which if it wasn't for the on-screen button prompts. Really can't decide whether to change my pre-order or not...

    Very pretty, but how on earth can Patrick Stewart read that doggerel with a straight face? What a pro he must be ...
