Published 30 April, 2007 Duration 1:06

The COD series has taken a step into the future, in more ways than one. Leaving WWII behind and stepping onto the stage of modern warfare, Call of Duty looks better than ever in this minute-long teaser. Hold on to your helmets.

    Sweet as a baby's nut.

"Modern Warfare" eh. Nice. I guess they got the message re: the landfill of WW2 games available. I just hope there are still 3 campaigns so we don't just play as the Americans.

I personally thought the trailer is dull. But the game looks pretty sweet.

This will rock harder than granite!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I hope!

Think they should have dropped the 4, but whatever.

Looks like every other modern-set FPS to me....

Doesn't look bad. Hopefully it will be better than CoD which I found quite disappointing.

I'll reserve my judgement until I see a demo. After last time where all the trailers looked excellent until the actual game was released, and was nothing like what I had seen for the last 3 months.

New ideas though, so that could be interesting. Modern warfare is an interesting topic.

    @Perrythegreat

If you remember back to the last round of CoD ads Activision actually got their asses sued for running rendered images & not declaring them as such so don't be surprised when the game actually looks like that trailer.

I think I might be finally interested in Call of Duty. I'm sick of WWII games being churned out left and right.

    Just looks like GRAW.

Why are the Americans always portrayed in a cool way? Roping off copters, chirping two-two-four bravo etc in a gruff voice down the radio... they should be the bad guys in a few games. maybe a "them vs the rest of the world", that would be good.
  • T4RG4 #13 5 years ago

Looks alright, not exactly 'impressive' though :-/

What, you get to be a suicide bomber in Iraq or something?
  • Caimbeul #15 5 years ago

I've said it before and i will say it again...FPS's do not work or belong on consoles. period!

if that was in-game footage then the framerate did seem very slick though

So WWII is finally over then? About bloody time.
  • darshannon #17 5 years ago

I doubt that it's about the Falkland Islands. Sounds more like Cold War going really hot.

Yeah - suspiciously slick in fact....

Call of Duty without WW2 , the COD is a series based on the heroic feats of one soldier in a war with the clear disticion of good and evil. Without the "good figth" will they keep the cinematic style of the series?? Besides that is just another dull trailer about war.

"they should be the bad guys in a few games. maybe a "them vs the rest of the world", that would be good."

Hehee, excellent idea, perhaps we could have some honesty and have more "friendly Fire" incidents than kills of the actual enemy, spray around 5000 rounds and kill some bunny trapped in it's cage whilst "Bad Men" suffer only 2 minor wounds from where they fell over trying to avoid the blind blanket coverage of bullets shot aimlessly around. Now THAT sounds like the American Army I've seen in action. Then we could have COD4.2 where the allied forces clean up the mess left by the Yanks & actually get the job done, you know, realism in warfare.

There's a longer version of this on the marketplace.
