Burnout Paradise - Paradise City

Published 9 November, 2007 Duration 1:54

Paradise city is not only full of green grass and pretty girls, there's a heavy presence for ramps, smashable fences and high-speed racing events. Take yourself down and start having fun.

I don't know why, but this game seems so hopelessly shallow from everything I read/watch about it.

Perhaps it is, but far less so than the latest need for speed...
I'll still be buying it for my speed fix anyways.

Is it me or does that look very grey and is using some sort of tint-like filter for the entire city? Where is the blue skies, golden sand and bright coloured environments that a paradise city should require?

I'm looking forward to it but the colour scheme is not too pleasing.

Looks stupid, i hate games where you just press the nos button and go a million miles per hour.

Having played the Burnout Paradise demo and been I huge fan of the previous versions, I have to say this open range design doesn't appeal in the slightest. Bring back the tight roads, crash modes and simple but addictive gameplay. This just feels all wrong for a burnout game. The general concensious from other players has generally been very negative. EA, what have you done. Perhaps when the full game comes out they may take in some of the concerns, but I suspect it is too late now. Let's hope I'm proved wrong.
