Good trailer - as it makes the game look really exciting - which it isn't (judging from the demo).

@ asphaltcowbow:

There's an older version of the Burnout Paradise map, which has an island to the East (blacked out on the current map, the two connecting bridges are just about visible though), and a lot more in the mountains and hills to the West and South-West.

It's been rumoured that this was either dropped due to deadlines, or more likely knowing EA (who previously have charged for otherwise free cheats in The Godfather, and individual car purchases in ProStreet), we will get it later as DLC.

If you listened to the Criterion podcasts you'd know that Criterion don't get told to do anything by EA and find it hilarious that people seem to think they do

EA have become well known for churning out the same title year after year, why change this one,????

EA own Criterion's soul, so of course they have a say in what they do, even if Criterion would rather you think otherwise.

@ DAN:SOLO: Criterion have always wanted to do a freeroaming Burnout, so this is just a natural progression for the series.
