Nice art style, voice work and game play though I'm not sure about. Need to see much more of this before I have a clue what's even going on.

Not a lot to go on there but it looks pretty promising. Agreed about the art style looking good.

That shotgun blast then pistoled to death was actually quite brutal. But in any case, I'm liking how this is shaping up. Definitely gonna be worth a look next year.

Looks very nice and pretty fun. My only gripe is it seems to suffer from the same problem as Borderlands where some enemies seem to soak up far too many bullets without flinching before they die.

Looks like Borderlands with more graphics and less loot

Looks fun, but it also looks like it's one of those games that have a really small field of view. I hate that.

haha look at his pistol bounce up and down, its almost as if the player is a horse in a dressage competition.

Ive been impressed ever since the first footage about a month or so. I just hope they dont make the same basic mistakes they did with Stalker since its the same team developing it, which from the looks of it they are about to nail that bit too thank GOD for that. If so then the game will be great overall for sure.

Btw I noticed that it looks like a Borderlands with awesome graphics and swee movement. Im all for it.
P.S. Im sick and tired of the freaking add of Avatar...

Errrrr..No Splash Damage are developing this title in conjunction with Bethesda.
They are best known for the ET Quake Wars & Wolfy T games

if he was a sneaky, stealthy 'operative', why did he spend 5 minutes at the front gate trying to rack up headshots with his brahs?

That looks absolutely awesome! Cannot wait etqw was also awesome!

That looks like a list of how not to make an FPS game:

    -sluggish movement,
    -exaggerated animations,
-underpowered weapons with no discernable recoil designed to simply have the trigger held down,
-weapons modeled with ejection ports on the wrong side of the gun for no reason,
-a lean function that is pointless because it doesn't go more than about 6 inches from the centre of mass,
-a really obviously contrived excuse for the whole level (do you really need a giant crawling robot to cut through a container?), and
-a map made of containers (I assume "crate city" was already taken).

This is just a mashup of other people's ideas, complete with their mistakes, without anything to really make it stand out. Coming from the Enemy Territory team, though, this doesn't surprise me at all - Quake Wars was much the same. Here though, we have the added problem that enemies and allies are impossible to tell apart, and they all have absolutely miniscule heads.

I also like the way he decides to be an 'operative' and then proceeds to just go and attack frontally anyway, and it doesn't appear to make any difference to anything. Classes in shooters are meaningless if you can just chop and change at will and there's no real downside to any of them. And doesn't it all look much too easy? He didn't die once in that clip - unless it was edited out. But why would you edit out player deaths in an MP game demo reel unless you wanted it to look easy?

Looks interesting but do we really need another badly lit point and shoot game title? Seriously use more than one art style please and take the FPS to new areas. Rant over!

Looks promissing, it was delayed untill well into 2010, so plenty of time to blance things out.

This looks so stunning and original.

Cannot wait to play this with my friends.

    Killzone 2 meets Borderlands?
  • magicpocket #20 2 years ago

    L4D + Killzone 2 + Borderlands + Mirrors Edge + Enemy Territory = Brink.

The art style is indeed nice but Im not convinced yet. The Gameplay seems not very innovative except of the smart movement system. I hope the class system is balanced, need to see more.

    Looks very good to me.
