    Looking quite good until they showed that you can disguise yourself as the enemy.
    That is the feature that made me stop playing TF2 and it is the feature that will stop me buying this.

    It's right there on the top of my list of pet hates in games along with invisible enemies. Why put something in the game that is not fun for the opposing team and there is no decent counter for it?

    Is there any such thing as over hype, I know there is. But assasins creed was massively overexposed but it still sold. Oh and I agree with FireMonkey, though I will have a look.

    @zandergrin

    What few videos there are of the game aren't even that informative or show much; it's always been mostly snippets. A surprisingly small number of people even know what Brink is. So no, it's not "overhyped", if there even is such a thing. You create your own expectations, these advertisements do not come with mind control.

    Speaking of, I was really hoping it wouldn't have TF2's disguise mechanic. It works really well in TF2 because there's a class that counters it, but in this one players will likely have to use a motion detector or some other passive ability, no doubt. Still, looks like a good enough substitute to my former evenings of TF2. That became unplayable for me shortly after the Mannconomy update hit.

    @Firemonly: it has invisible enemies at well ^_^

    I don't mind those, as long as it's balanced. Brink looks great. I for instance like the fact that your class doesn't influence your weapon load out. (Like a medic can't carry an M16) It's one thing Brink does better then other team based FPS. Weapon choice is affected by your body type (heavy's can pack more punch than a skinny dude)

    Awesome. It looks great, almost a bit TF2 blended with L4D's SP/online campaigns. I have seen nothing so far to quell my ardour for this one.

    Disguised spies were pretty easy to find in TF2 FireMonkey, I'm sure there must be some tells we can learn to spot them in this too.

    @superet - "because everyone is always shooting/stabbing/burning their team mates to uncover any hidden spies"

    That's part of the problem. That (in my opinion, and I realise I'm gonna get so negged for disagreeing with a Valve design decision) is a really crap mechanic. Having to attack your team mates to discover a spy? Doesn't really feel right to me. We should not be encoraging attacking team mates (even if there is no team damage) and it feels more like the true method for detecting the spy didn't work so they fell back on the fact that you could injure them to uncover them.

    @FireMonkey: I'll think you'll find the decent counter to a spy is taking notice of that team member skulking about suspiciously and entering your base from the opposite direction.
