I think I must be the only one here who thinks this could be a good game. After upping the dreadfully low sensitivity I rather enjoyed the demo. The combat was very satisfying, there was a decent degree of choice in terms of the large play space and the visceral visual style was a bold standout when judged against the dreary washed-out aesthetics of Military Shooter 12 ad infinitum.

I'll be watching the review scores with interest.

@CaptainQuint "I think I must be the only one here who thinks this could be a good game." ... yes i believe you are, the demo was utter meh.

Finally got around to play the demo yesterday. On the first run i managed to finish it in under 3 minutes, completely ignoring all AI and just sprinting to the objectives. On the second playthrough i died somewhere near the bridge and respawned into a hail of bullets. So kinda was stuck in an infinite deathloop. That was not so good.

I was a bit surprised about the lack of ending of the demo. you walk up to a gate and get a rating. No big WoW moment or anything. The rating itself seemed completely arbitrary and had no actual meaning to me. In the Bulletstorm demo i saw the points and ratings of all my friends. It made me replay the demo around 20 times to beat them all. In Bodycount they seemed to go for the same thing, but fell short by not including comparisson to my friends.

The Horde mode with shredding and diminishing covers sounds like a great idea though.

unfortunately a nice colour palette doesnt make your game suddenly much more fun to play. The demo was just boring. As for this "shredding" mechanic, I believe DICE have something far superior in Frostbite 2.

why can't you aim down sight? it's like they wanted to do a halo but then thought it wouldn't work so went halfway with other shooters and ended up having this pointless 'half-zoom' thing which feels horrible.

I kinda feel sorry for them. Edge (most important shooter of this gen???? wtf edge what were you smoking) and other media hyped this up no end and now it seem sto be average at best.

I loved Black. This demo is shockingly bad. If the rest of the game is the same I wouldn't even touch it in the bargain bin. The demo has PS2 graphics, sub HD, jaggies galore, low detailed graphs, crap sound compared to Black. No wonder Stuart Black (co-creator of Black) walked away and didn't want to be associated with this. I actually think they would make more money just releasing black as is without touching up or making HD and they would make more money then this turd.

@Doubtfire Black is available as is, on Xbox 360 at least, on Xbox Originals.
