This game is absolutely awesome. And for 400msp too, what a steal. It's a shame I dont think it'll get the credit it deserves, noone really knows it exists and the trailers are terrible. It's literally The Ship 2.0. As soon as it hits on Steam i'll be nabbing it on there too.

Lucifonz: Holy shit are you being serious The Ship 2.0?? I have been waiting for The Ship to hit PSN/XBLA and thought that it would never happen. Now this suddenly appears out of nowhere, wtf ?! /nonplussed

Yarrr, it's definitely The Ship 2 in spirit! I'm one of the developers on the game, and though we did take it in a slightly different direction, the core game mechanics are very true to The Ship. You've still gotta hunt down quarries, avoid hunters, take care of needs, and wield the occasional frying pan ;)

It is a little faster paced this time around, and streamlined in several places to be more approachable/controller friendly, but a lot of the old tactics still work a treat! There's also plenty of new items in there that advanced players of The Ship can really go to town with (lure, robo-rat, sleep sheep, camcorder, etc...). Along with the new context-sensitive kills (CSKs) if you catch people satisfying needs, new ways to earn points (boasting, humiliating, pickpocketing...) between the killing, and bonus rounds to break up the hunt/elimination rounds with new gameplay, there's a lot of new stuff in there that fans of The Ship should really enjoy!

Really happy to hear you're enjoying it Lucifonz! Gimme a shout if you fancy a game some time :) Will probably be on later this evening.

It doesnt? Only local play then?
  • ReNo #7 2 years ago

Ignore that - online multiplayer is the absolute bulk of the game :)

Thanks for your hard work Reno, the game is brilliant. Instant buy from me :)

Hope it sells as well as it deserves too.

Seems good but unfortunately barely anyone playing it...

It's frustrating that :/ There's zero exposure of it on the Xbox dashboard and I think that makes a huge difference. Right now you need to go all the way to game marketplace -> arcade -> new arrivals before you see a hint of it. No idea why it isn't promoted on the frontend in at least game marketplace, but I don't know the rules/procedure/cost of appearing there.

Really hoping there is a bit more media coverage of it. Fingers crossed for a Eurogamer review!

i bought it sight unseen. bit confusing at first not realising i needed a good sleep, sh*t and some supper to make it easier but once i picked that up was good to go. online was very quiet yesterday. best parts are finding someone having a nap and then breaking out the flamethrower.. :).. good game. deserves more publicity on the dashbord

Been playing it all weekend (bought it without trial) and its truely superb, there us a bit of a learning curve but it well worth the effort in learning the game.

Hehe, nice job Reno, thanks for giving it some promotion. Would be nice if Ubisoft did the same eh? At the moment I'm suffering from a bit of deja vu, it's just like The Ship launch.

Good to see some positive comments as well, at least people are enjoying it. A few good review scores would help too. Fingers crossed. :D

Maybe see you online, & maybe you can avoid killing me to make me look good for once?! :p
