    I've never actually played a Blazblue game before. As a fan of 2D fighters I feel like I'm letting myself down, how does this compare to SF/MvC?

    I'd say it's more difficult to get into, but that is partly because the characters have very different fighting styles, whereas SFIV essentially has two styles (atleast if you're fighting at beginner standard). But I consider this a good thing.

    The storyline is excellent, and there is easily as much technical depth as the mainstream beat 'em ups. I'd recommend it.

    @Whitster

    I'd highly recommend it also. The roster of characters isn't very large, but as beelzebozo said, the characters are vastly different (and Hakumen is probably the best power character ever in a beat 'em up).

    It's got a meatier one player than any of Capcom's offerings, and i've never had lag online. Graphics and soundtrack are to die for as well.

    Blazblue is the only fighting game in which story is good enough to hang on for.

    Personally i'd recommend extend. This game has the first and second game's storylines in one, so you don't have to bother with the other ones to get this one

    Is this the third iteration of the same game?
