Ken Levine is rapidly nearing legendary status as a game designer. He has everything the true greats need, the beard, the mellifluous voice and a cult classic on his C.V. Now all he needs is for Bioshock to be as good as it looks like it might be.

He talks about all of those things as if they're new in an FPS, when all that's really different is how you go about getting those powers. "They're more than just weapons!" No, they're not - just because they're injected into your wrist?

And then he goes on to explain how they're not the same by pointing out how exactly the same they are. When he was explaining how you can take advantage of a frozen enemy, yeah, I lol'd. When he said he'd never seen TK used to return grenade fire, I was too stupefied to lol.

This game had better be good. To me, it just looked like Half-Life 2 with enemies that are even less willing to die.

I'm still very worried about how combat and shooting oriented this game looks. Nearly every video trailer I've seen has shown the main protagonist killing almost everything in site, maybe with some slightly different weapons or in different manners, but still just killing everything. I was hoping that it would be up to you how you played it, with killing everything being just one of the options available to you.

    Nothing wrong with that

It certainly does seem like your options are over how to kill rather than whether to kill. I'm not sure I can remember a single instance of anything from the trailers that isn't for killing, and isn't walking or opening a door.
