So the big sister is some stupidly overpowered villain as I first suspected. Suddenly not only could he not use the drill or his plasmids or even that gun but, you also have to stand there and get smacked around for no reason what so ever.

Way to kill the story there. No wonder Levin is standing back and watching. I wouldn't want to take credit for this nonsense either!

penhalion, you completely ignore the possibility that he chooses not to act for dramatic effect.

it could have also been a cut scene, which if thats where the demo ends, that would be natural

/shoots the wheels off the "I found Bioshock disappointing" bandwagon.

Unreal 2 was disappointing. There is a difference.

Love the fire cyclones, and I also agree that was a cutscene at the end.

    I prefer Unreal 2 to Bioshock >_>

    @penhalion

"So the big sister is some stupidly overpowered villain as I first suspected."

So, she should be a piece of piss like the boggo splicers then?

Of course she's over powered! You play as a Big Daddy with a giant drill as your right hand and full access to plasmids, so your main anatagonist needs to be suitably powered to compensate for that.

Remember coming cross your first BD in the first game? Yeah, wasn't a walk in the park either. I'm not sure if you were moaning about 'overpowered' enemies then, but I was loving it as it meant you actually had to think about how to take them out rather than just strafe while holding the right trigger down.

What a thing to complain about.

Why can't we have System Shock 3 instead?

Wait, hold on, it's because if they did, it'd be shit.

its interesting that he states this is based some years after the original Bioshock, I had thought with you playing the original big daddy this was some form of prequel??? Guess I got the wrong end of the stick, but does that mean you have been unconscious for the many years after the original and before the original occurred (remember you are the original big daddy) for continuity purposes it would have been better if this was a prequel...

You can expect a twist to answer that in true Bioshock/SS2 stylee.

I do have my suspicions on what that could be...

    THAT looks fucking amazing.

I hope the ability to move outside (i.e. underwater) has some gameplay merit to it.

Still haven't bought BS1 even after playing the demo in part due to being put off by what looks like the constraints of a cramped claustrophobic environment (corridoor shooter).

Hard to get into the mood when the last two shooters i've played have been Crysis and Crysis Warhead.
