    I'm liking the recent trend of cyberpunk themed games. It's a good, underexploited setting. That said, I'm sure i'll be fed up of it in a few years after every single studio releases their own cookie-cutter cyberpunk game, like what has happened with zombies, modern warfare, and WW2.

    That was one boring trailer.

    I think that looks rather spiffy. Especially after playing the ME3 demo yesterday which left me a little cold. Shame there's no PC version. Fingers crossed it lives up to expectations.

    "Like any of us has a choice! Look around you Yankee man! No future!"

    I wonder whether this is a hidden metaphor on japanese developers being forced by the circumstances to make shooters.
    The kids being the japanese developers adapting quick.

    They really did it though. Just played the demo. It really is special. The consequence system is awesome. You really feel your teammates and try to gain their trust.

    Dear Sega, I am impressed.

    @WMain00 It was a cutscene, not a trailer. (despite being billed as one)

    WHOO, Liam O'Brian if I'm not mistaken. The greatest voice actor in the industry.

    Binary Domain looks cliché as hell which is to be expected.

    Played the demo and i am impressed. I would have picked this up day one if it wasnt for Syndicate and ME3 releasing around it. I will definitely be picking this up eventually though. Solid gunplay.

    Currently getting this day 1 because i like the story concept. and not really a subject thats covered much. Hopefully the demo plays good...fingers crossed.

    Binary Domain demo was great and Mass Effect 3 for the record was really good as well. Day 1 for both.

    Wait....this is from sega?

    Colour me shocked

    As for mass effect 3. I found it a bit of a let down. As I recall the normandy has cannons that can kill a reaper yet earth fleet never retro fitted their vessels...really! Then the stupid "Watch them die scene" where a reaper makes no attempt to shoot at the normandy like it's suddenly invisible?!?

    I'm sorry but that alone makes me think the story has gone to hell without the original writer. I doubt if earth was even supposed to be the first place to fall either in the original story arc. It would have made more sense to have it as the last hold out.

    A re-run of the Prothean story where humanitys choice is to either win or become the reapers new bitches.

    The BD demo plays like a lacklustre Gears copy: same controls, low quality graphics, poor AI, that irritatingly polite, pointless banter that the Japanese seem to enjoy.

    @LittleRiver

    Bad ai? Is that because they dont camp behind cover as much as gears? TBH ild rather be able to shoot the enemies rather than the boring wack a mole gameplay in gears
  • LittleRiver #15 3 months ago

    @TrevHead

    The AI in BD can't decide whether it wants to take cover or flank- the AI bots just dance from side to side going knowhere.
