Beowulf - Origins

Beowulf, like all the old tales, is not a pretty story. It's full of blood, betrayal, sex and sorrow. Which is partly why it makes such a good story to turn into a game.

Haven't seen the trailer but I'll do some manly grunting anyway:

Hmm. History lovingly rewritten. Beowulf was NOT written in 1000ad - it's a nice number, I suppose, but it certainly predates that by at least 200 years, more likely 400. That and Beowulf does not mean "Barley Wolf" - this is a disputed point, and I side with the idea that it's actually "Wolf of the Bees", a pun alluding to his bear-like strength. I get that games/films don't have to be historically accurate, but a trailer introducing the inspirational material really should.
