See... I'm fine with the gameplay, it's probably going to be awesome. DMC4 was great, and this looks like DMC4 on something.

... But WTF is up with the asthetics? Some S&M witch, who's constantly over-sexed and talking about "boys?"

It's so freakin' gratuitous that... I dunno. I'm no prude, but it's just too much to stomach. It makes everything feel really REALLY cheap.

strangely alluring, but for the wrong reasons, this is a game i could watch someone else play and be equally engrossed.

Its DMC with a female in the lead. It is pretty shameless but could still be fun. Looks like they're aiming it at 13 year olds though. Very childish looking.

I read about this in 360 Magazine. Apparently, the main character is a witch and her costume is made entirely of her hair. As in, the hair on her head can morph into clothes and animals and shit.
The voice acting sounds terrible, and the gameplay looks shoddy. Not interested. But I can't wait for the Google Image searches with Adult Content Filter Off.

With Hideki 'Okami, Viewtiful Joe, DMC and Resident Evil 2' Kamiya at the helm I wouldn't be surprised if this will be the action game to beat in 2009 (and beyond).

I love this kind of stylish action and surely this is one title that - like God Hand and Mad World - obviously doesn't take itself too seriously.

If it's got the tongue-in-cheek humour of God Hand then I am there, day one.

Well the creator of this game was the creator of the original Devil May Cry. That's enough for me to trust him.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

The first thing I actually noticed was the glasses on the (I assume) eponymous protagonist. Specs are sexy.

Serious note. Certainly, having such an overtly sexual female character in the lead position could be interpreted as an attempt to cash in on the raging hormones of the many oversexed young men out there, and undoubtedly that factor won't have escaped the developers' notice. However, if you then consider the fact that many games feature muscular, hirsute macho men brandishing ridiculously huge weapons which they then use to, ahem, "violate" large numbers of other macho men... well, you have to wonder, really, not only about what market those games are targeting, but about the developers themselves. I mean, ew.

I think this also serves to reinforce the questionable notion that a big guy with a gun blasting people into bloody chunks is somehow more socially-acceptable than a confident female who takes pleasure in her sexuality and its ability to addle men's minds.

Now, where was I... Mmm... specs.

Total WTF!?! This has to be the most insanely Japanese game title I've ever laid eyes on, with the bubblegum-fucking-cartoon pop music and all. By the way all the innuendo aside, she has to be the most unattractive female lead I've ever seen in a game... EVER... Never mind the fucking stripping, she is ugly as fuck.

On a more positive note, looks like a more OTT version of DMC, if such a feat is even possible.
