Bayonetta - Announcement trailer

6 (7 ratings)

One of the four games SEGA has signed from PlatinumGames, Bayonetta is directed by Devil May Cry's Hideki Kamiya, and appears to feature shooting and stabbing. As Ellie would point out, then, it's another entry in the popular Catford genre.

DMC suffers from very tired game mechanics outside of the combat system itself, and even the combat's no great shakes. Avoiding disasters, this should be better.

Devil may Cry - Pretty boy + Girl with shapely ankles = Bayonetta

I like those meths.

(that was supposed to be Maths, but that's equally true. Just so long as the meths doesn't make me go blind before this is out :)

Are we all watching the same trailer here?

Because it's almost like you guys are making gameplay calls based on a 30 second rendered teaser that's about as clever as a glass of water.

i like the look of the creepy 'angels'. Potentially some nice design work in this number. .... guns on heels, giggles.

I laugh at those judging this game already from a 36 second CG trailer.

One to keep an eye on me thinks...

If this is all style, no substance, then no thanks.

I'm getting a bit tired of this genre. I only really have any enthusiasm for GoW any more.

This trailer is so clever! If the game is as clever as the trailer we are in for a very clever treat.
I hope they release a clever demo too so that we can enjoy all this cleverness soon.

looks like it could be really fun - love DMC 4 so if this is more of the same without the back-tracking then count me in.

Looks like Platinum are following the new trend of issuing a first "concept" trailer which then can then use as the minimum graphical quality guide.
