Bayonetta - Story trailer

So what does it have to do with a bayonet?

I take it this is a trailer for the game's story, as in "there is one, and we'll reveal it soon!", rather than an actual attempt to explain the story presented as a trailer for the game as a whole, because it fails the latter fairly comprehensively. I have absolutely no idea what this was/is/will be supposed to be about; player is a witch, there's some stupid monsters, including very big ones, and some other people, not all of whom you're supposed to kill. Too confusing to make me care.
