I just hope all these intricacies are introduced subtly and fluidly. If time will march on after each assassination, leaving behind all the potentially memorable characters you've encountered, then it'll be another game with great yet underdeveloped ideas.
The first game was far too... systematic. Do this, do that, kill. Do this, do that, kill. Variety isn't the only thing the sequel needs. I am certainly intrigued, though. Looks undeniably interesting.
