So, no one asked why Ubi's follow-up service (or customer care) where AC is concerned is so shit? Or were questions like that swept under the carpet?

Bugs present in both ACII & Brotherhood were left unfixed. Revelations also suffers from numerous infuriating bugs, I'm willing to guess a good few of those will never be resolved.

But hey, so long as we go out and buy the game, that's all that matters Ubi, amirite?

    I would.

Like to point out I'm enjoying AC:Rev a lot and don't agree with any of the negative points in the EG review.

@Spong What infuriating bugs do you mean? I played through ACB and ACR on PS3 and didn't notice any bugs... didn't play multiplayer though.

Even though I only play the game in english, mad respect to Ubisoft for recording the whole game (AC:B at least, cbf checking the others) in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German.

I also don't agree with the negative comments about bombs in the Games(tm) review either.

Lethal tripwire bombs can be used to great effect when attacking the dens which have cowardly "custard" captains. Place one by the door and then chase him to his death, awesomes.

But I agree they do shout from the heavens about bombs in game, it did take me until scenario 5 to start using them in anger. They are good fun though.

Admittedly Revelations isn't so dogged with bugs as Brotherhood was, Brotherhood had bugs which rendered saves unplayable and forced the player to restart.

Tower defense and Desmond climbing digital blocks??? What were you guys thinking? Please limit a Assassin's Creed to biannual releases from now on
  • Gein #15 6 months ago

The fail about the language thing is that in Ancient Rome, they didn't speak Italian, but freaking Latin, that being said, the game is cool. Hope next come with a great graphics improvement though.
  • TOOTR #16 6 months ago

@wattsn26 Biannual means twice a year. Did you been biennial?

oh that's just great - I'm turning into my dad.

EDIT : actually some dictionaries claim that biannual can mean twice a year or once every two years! How the hell does that make sense? pfft.

    She's a nerd. I like her.

OT: I find Revelations the lesser of the three (not counting AC1). It's because it's the third, so it's not shiny anymore. It's because Ezio is old (I like Ezio and hate goodbyes). I still haven't used bombs as much and because I try to do things the AC2/B way, the game can be frustrating at times. I certainly don't like the Den defense thingy, but I suppose by carefully bribing heralds you can prevent these sections.
All in all, I'm glad I bought it but it's no Brotherhood.

    Take that, CosmicFuzz!

Ubisoft, this is a customer who buys all your Assassin Creed games day one (so far).
While I love the refinements you made and the hook blade, good stuff, the grenades are needless excess. I rolled with the throwing knives and easier combat in later games, but grenades take it too far away from any resemblance of stealth or assassins.
Makes me feel more like Rambo. I don't want to feel like Rambo in Assassin's Creed!
But that's minor stuff compared to the tower defense part.
Please, please, PLEASE never put tower defense in Assassin's Creed again. It's stupid, out of place and breaks the flow of the game. When I could just ignore it as a side mission, fine. But sticking it on an unskippable main plot mission? No.

I'd go on a date with her.
  • telboy007 #21 6 months ago

@danger.to.others Thankfully you only have to win 3 as part of the Assassin's tasks to unlock goodies, and once you have a level 15 assassin in each den you never have to do it again! :D

I think the camera-man was practising his 'angles' or maybe it was a new style of art-nouveau, but I felt the angle shots were completely unnecessary and distracting to what she was actually saying....which, on second playthrough...was a lot of bollocks!
