it looks horrible (unless that's a wii game), but i find the idea intriguing. might be good

    Looks awful?
On a par with GTA IV graphically I'd say.
However, having to spell out what your game sub-genre is in that way just sounds clunky. Wouldn't Spy RPG do?

How on earth could you think that looks horrible? I think it looks excellent! A spy RPG!

This is in no way horrible graphics. Only snobs would think that.

It looks ok... not a patch on KZ2, but that's quite a high bar to reach. I've definitely seen worse trailers.

Anyone else noticed what looked suspiciously like the lock-picking minigame from Oblivion there?

I still have all my fingers and toes crossed for this one. It sounds amazing, but I really do doubt Obsidian's ability to pull it all off.

If nothing else, the ideas and writing should be good (Avellone!).

I would have liked to have seen the RPG elements of this game. Is it more like Deus Ex where you go from mission to mission?

Hopefully you can play a tech/hacker spy.

Looks good to me - better than expected. Not that it matters much, as it's the RPG elements and writing that are important here, and I have faith in Obsidian.

Nah, Crysis did surpass that 18 months ago. Whoah, posting irrelevant stuff is fun.

    /facepalm

I can't really see it, not the video I mean, a spy RPG. It's just something I don't think'll work. Even though I've never played MetalGear, people say it's brilliant and great at what it is and if someone were to ask me if there was a good Spy-RPG out there, i'd probably say MetalGear. Playing a role in a strong narrative without level ups, items and henchmen could be described as an RPG and that is what MetalGear does brilliantly now isn't it? But since I usually do like Obsidian's games I'll say colour me interested, but I can't really see myself spending skill-points on martial arts...

Looks excellent, I'm very hopeful about this.

Not really feeling the video, but from what I read about the game, it should be great.

note: when you have the first-ever modern-day spy rpg, you don't need good animation

Boys will be boys, I guess.

Looks interesting, although there seems to be a lot of shooting in the trailer

'It looks ok... not a patch on KZ2'

Are you an idiot? Actually, don't answer that. How is a modern day RPG with an emphasis on choice comparable to one of the most generic FPSes of this generation?

Anyway, this has been on my radar for a while, although the trailer isn't too hot :( I was kinda hoping for interesting locales, but that seems not to be the case

I think it will obviously have its technical shortcomings but will be good in spite of them by the look of it...
