Alone in the Dark - Trailer

6 (3 ratings)

More footage from the dreadfully clever looking Alone in the Dark. We've got a bit more of Central Park, some evidence of the lighting model doing its stuff, a touch of combat and even a slice of vehicular action.

Continues to look ace. Except for the first-person aiming. Take a look at the scene where the gunsight follows the exploding car. Seeing how agile those human-like enemies appear (jumping over the rubble in one scene), the action could get a bit frustrating. Glad it's not a shooter.

cheers,

Alex

If this game stays puzzle-heavy and combat-lite then it has the potential to be the greatest thing since spam fritters*.

Still looks awful to me. it's all fine when it's moody and exploration based, but as soon as they show action it breaks down.

I'm following the development of this title quite closely and I must honestly say that this is one of the few games I am REALLY looking forward to. I'm not saying that I'm sure it'll be brilliant but I am eager to find out - it MIGHT be brilliant. =)

Like marilena, I think this looks great when it's all techy and slow-paced, but the moment they show enemies it begins to look a bit cack.

Perhaps the engine would be better suited to other genres?
