EGTV: Eurogamer playtests PlayStation Vita

We've always been big fans of fire. Not just in a Crazy World of Arthur Brown way, but in the sort of can of WD-40 and an ant's nest sort of way. Which is partly why we're so delighted to present you with this video showcasing the way in which fire is dealt with by Alone in the Dark's incredible physics. Impressive.

Reminded me of Dr Nick - "Who knew inflammable means flammable!?"

Ask yourself one question. Who is releasing this?

- unless they're covered in lighter fluid, things don't really want to burn that much. OK, a foam couch, paper, etc, but *wood* from a cold start needs a few seconds of sustained contact with a *very* intense flame to then start burning, otherwise it just singes
- flames don't stay at a nice uniform 12 inches, large objects develop a single massive flame. That bit of wooden beam propped up against the wall would have (by the time its entire length was burning) produced a big fat flame meters in height !!!
- etc
Having said that, it *is* a great step, I'll be buying the game. Just commenting on the uncanny valley angle.

Just assume everything that catches light 'too' easily has just had a fresh coat of varnish.Sense of realism preserved - huzzah!
