I am impressed. Now all we need is a release date.
  • oxymoron #2 4 years ago

this game could convince me to buy (another) xbox. microsoft have really lost out for havinf such wank hardware, this, fable 2 etc.

  • JediMasterMalik #3 4 years ago

    Looks good. Game play please.
  • Krun #4 4 years ago

looks like "Secret Window" without Jonny Depp then?
  • kangarootoo #5 4 years ago

    "Looks good. Game play please."

My thoughts exactly. It looks very pretty, but I've not seen anything to yet make me feel sure about it either way.

Looks terrific. Although the dodgy lip-sync bothered me (he nit-picked).

Looks like it could be a 21st century adventure game, which ain't no bad thing, no sir.
  • Monkey_Puncher #7 4 years ago

Looks amazing, I still don't know what it is though?
  • dadrester #8 4 years ago

Looking good, love the atmosphere. Straight out the better forms of American horror writing and film. Hopfully it'll be more like Kubrick's version of Stephen King's The Shining rather than that awful TV movie version

this looks like the max payne 3 remedy never got to make
  • Zomoniac #12 4 years ago

Did anyone else think "if Shenmue was a psychological thriller..."?
  • Stu #13 4 years ago

It lives! ... and still looks goddamned good.
  • Artemus #14 4 years ago

Coming out simultaneously with Duke Nukem Forever.
  • dllord #15 4 years ago

    Look pretty scarey! can't wait!!!!
  • the_dudefather #16 4 years ago

looks very nice, will be one to watch by the look of it

except for that IM YO BIGGEST FAN woman looked a bit goofy (and completly out of sync)

and like others have said, what exactly is it? a sort of silent hilly adventure type thing?
  • Kryon #17 4 years ago

I just don't get why they bothered releasing screenshots like 35 years ago. I mean it looks great but waiting for so long (and still no release date given) just kinda makes me think 'meh'... Basically what I'm saying is, stop releasing trailers with poor lip-sync and hurry the f*** up and give me the game!

    Blair Witch: Rustin Parr 2009

    Still buy it though :)
  • Azazel #19 4 years ago

I like the fact that no one really knows what it is, makes me hopeful :)

Forgot all about this actually... color me interested once more.
  • Alatair #20 4 years ago

Wow... that really showed us a lot about the gameplay. This really is the trailer we have all been looking forward to, showing us shit all about the game, but the graphics were pretty.

Looks good... one for next christmas probably.

Characters aren't as detailed as Heavy Rain, but environments look great. I was blown away the first time I saw this game running, funny how quickly things lessen.
  • Leolian #22 4 years ago

    Uncanny valley...
  • Dizzy #23 4 years ago

I love the "Steven King" atmosphere and the ideas looks awesome on paper. Can't wait.
  • Rangerwave #24 4 years ago

This looks wonderful. Hope it lives up to the expectations its been building up though.
  • Inigo #25 4 years ago

max payne was one of those rare games that i loved for the story so i have all the time in the world for this.

But like oxymoron my 360 is broke and i can't stomach getting a new one. This and Fables 2 are tempting me to get a new arcade one for a 100.
  • T4RG4 #26 4 years ago

Hmm... does that actually show anything about the game? Button over the panic button me thinks...
  • shamblemonkee #27 4 years ago

    a.wake...i get it, heh.
  • Razorus #28 4 years ago

    Very Stephen King-y isn't it?

I'm not normally one for trailers that don't show gameplay, but even as a movie trailer that was OMFG!!!!

I had to watch it twice. I've been looking for a good adventure since Lucasarts became shit.

I now fucking want Shenmue 3 again! Thanks remedy. =(

  • ry2008 #30 4 years ago

looks good but really need gameplay.
  • mkreku #31 4 years ago

Very impressive, you damn Finns. Now try to get it released this side of 2010, please.
  • George-Roper #32 4 years ago

That still looks fucking ace, considering the time its been in development.

I've got a feeling this is going to shape up to be an absolute stunner.
  • creepylizard #33 4 years ago

looks like farenheit a bit....do they really have to give the main character that typical voice though. every main character in every game has voice....
  • Kyle #34 4 years ago

It's very uncanny valley, isn't it. And some of the lip syncing looked a little off. Apart from that, colour me very interested
  • Kiigan #35 4 years ago

How can this have been in development for so long, yet they still aren't talking about what kind of fucking game it is, how you actually play it? Still, well done spending money on that fancy CG trailer that tells us absolutely nothing.
  • peak_performance #36 4 years ago

It's probably just to tell everyone "we're ready to show the game to you so expect more in the coming months". Personally, I can't stand people who rags on about games having been developed for a long time, as if their attention span must be filled with continuos affirmations that every game that has been spotted hasn't been shut down, as has been the case with Alan Wake on some forums. I much prefer the silent treatment if a developer feels the game is going to take it's sweet time, and at the end of development being rushed with information.

As I expect MS and Remedy to do now that the game is out of the bag again.

Looks beatiful BTW. As before I fully expect Remedy to deliver on most other areas as well.
  • toy_brain #37 4 years ago

Nice trailer, but I cant get excited about this game, I just cant.
After waiting this long, and still with no firm release date, all I can do is shove it once again to the back of my mind and forget about it until one day the reviews go up.
If its good I'll buy, if not I'll just shrug and move on.
  • br00talz #38 4 years ago

    Something, finally!
  • The-Bodybuilder #39 4 years ago

I love the way MS are marketing this, its so very remedy. Keep it hush, release a trailer every once in a blue moon to tell people its still in progress, then keep stoosh again.

However mentioned shenmue (zomoniac?) is bang on. Seems like a psychological shenmue thriller.
Imagine if shenmue 3 was ever made, and it looked like that.
  • thesonglessbird #40 4 years ago

    Looks great...apart from the lip-synching!
  • the_mtfr #41 4 years ago

Hehe, it's just like with the first Max Payne. Everyone was getting so nervous it wasn't coming. But that was one delayed game that blew me to fucks (whatever that means).

So they can delay this as much as they want, I trust them.

But fucking hell, Microsoft??? Is this turning into an X360 exclusive first, then after 2 years, PC version with an extra mission?
  • UncleLou #42 4 years ago

    "But fucking hell, Microsoft???"

It's always been a Microsoft Games Studio published game, if that's what you mean.
  • symmetry #43 4 years ago

    Cooooooooooooooool.
  • scimitarDT #44 4 years ago

here's my prophecy regarding the storyline:

Alan is his name, but Wake is what every character (his dead wife or something as well?) is trying to get him to do (wake up!). I think he's either lying on a hospital bed (jacobs ladder style) and the game is his dream/nightmare until the message finally gets through "Alan, Wake Up!..." at which point all is revealed and he dies in peace having laid to rest the demons in his mind.

    That's my prediction anyway! heh

Reading that back sounds weird but time will tell you that I was sometimes right and in this case my mind is powerfully correct
  • bad09 #45 4 years ago

    Wow!

A bit late checking out the new trailer but that looked awesome (gave me goose bumps), as a big fan I love the SH vibe going on there in terms of atmosphere.

Hope it plays as good as it looks, it's been a long time coming (at least no constant PR waffle like with the evil LBP!). Looking forward to this even more now, hope it comes soon!

  • phoenixology #46 4 years ago

Wow, it's like watching a movie! Don't know what the game is all about though and the trailer doesn't say much?
  • Gurrah #47 4 years ago

Reminds me waaaaay too much of Alone in the Dark, and that was 50€ in the bin.
  • denaro #48 4 years ago

It looks....pretty dated. The graphics for the characters need some more work. They might as well release and take a loss. What is this game really about anyway and what is the combat going to be like? They might as well make Max Payne 3 and scrap this game.
  • Dark_Era #49 4 years ago

Dang i ain't seen a six shot revolver like that in ages, lol
  • Bangaioh #50 4 years ago

After this I would really like to see some gameplay
  • Incarta #51 3 years ago

I fail to see what all the fuss is about...
