Ace Combat 6 - Trailer

Published 18 June, 2007 Duration 1:53

Engage pathos filters folks - it's the almost impossibly worthy and emotionally charged trailer for Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. We're promised great things from its new 360 homebase, and it's certainly delivering so far on the visual front.

Project Aces can do epic like none other. I've recently finished Ace Combat Zero and it was an absolute blast to play. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

How's the sense of speed in these games? Nothing more disappointing than playing some console flight sim where you feel like you're at cycling pace.

It was pretty good, but felt a bit like a stripped-down version of AC5. If you haven't already played that, and can find a reasonably priced copy, I recommend that you do.

You're mostly high up in the air where it's hard to judge one's speed anyhow, but the games certainly don't feel slow, and the sense of actually being high up in the air is absolutely brilliant, even on the humble PS2, and better than in any PC flight games I've played.

The Ace Combat games are comparatively simple, but just a ton of fun, with great (a bit schmaltz) storylines, and lots of atmosphere. Constant radio chatter, breathtaking landscapes, varied missions.
