I'm rubbish at maths, but if the gap between Diablo and Diablo 2 was three years, and the gap between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 will be twelve years, then will we be waiting 48 years for Diablo 4?

I'll need to look into retirement homes with internet access, assuming they stick with the always-connected strategy.

When I was your age I used to play the sequel offline. You may be able to play D4 before you reach retirement age but you'll probably need to use that direct neural connection thing those young-en's are talking about.

On one hand Blizzard has merged with Activision, which in turn means more pressure on blizzard, meaning possibly somewhat worse quality. On the other hand it means I can actually play the game before I have grandchildren...

The guitar strumming soundtrack of D1 is amazing, and still gives me chills.... its one of my gaming highlights/memories. Still play 1/2 a little bit these days when i have time... cannot wait.
