@abeeken If you didn't play it yet, you should add Rayman Legends to the list! The online challenge app which got released just a few days ago is incredibly addicting and well-designed and also contains the three normal levels the first demo had. Another game that uses the GamePad in some cool ways, especially fun when playing with friends or family :) Reply0
@abeeken I think what you said is exactly the biggest and best selling point the Wii U has: it is perfect for local multiplayer fan, with kids, with friends, with family - two screens, two different experiences (Nintendo Land, Rayman Legends, ZombiU MP, ..).
But I don't think that Vita & Smartglass can compete with Wii U in that regard; both need separate (and expensive) gadgets .. though I can imagine that Ubi puts Rayman Legends' GamePad featurs on PS3/Vita as well.
I just hope that people finally get to understand that two screens can really deliver unique experiences. If they do, Wii U would not only be selling better, publishers would also be keen enough to experiment with the system, the GamePad and all those features - and we get more games like ZombiU!
@abeeken There is definitely potential but I am afraid they just put a map and some shortcuts on the GamePad screen. ZombiU was so amazing because it was built from the ground up with the GamePad in mind. I doubt Ubi are so smart to make the Wii U version "unique", yet I hope so. Reply0
I don't expect anything I'd miss out. For me, the PC version is the one to get. Or Wii U - they could do some interesting things with the GamePad! Reply+6
Puppeteer, Rayman Legends, a new 3D Mario game, Tearaway, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Yarn Yoshi - this year is going to be amazing for jump'n'run freaks like me! Did I forget any other presumably great platformer? Reply+4
@Dark-Soul I guess they overestimated their own games and missed their release plans. Look at Pikmin 3 and W101, both should have been released in the "launch window" and are now pushed back to june/august. Plus, the saddening delay of Rayman Legends. It didn't look that bad at launch but since then ... I just hope that Nintendo have learned their lesson. New Mario Kart, 3D Mario and Smash Bros. at E3 will be the first step. For me, I only want Pikmin 3 to be happy :D Reply0
@Dark-Soul Then I think yu're gonna be pleased in a few months/years. I'm very confident that Nintendo will support the Wii U the same way they did with 3DS, starting this E3. They would be stupid to just let that wonderful console (yeah, it is - it is just missing games) die. Take a look at Wii U again in middle 2014 and things will be different. It's always the first-party-software that makes a console. Reply0
@Dark-Soul I don't regret having bought the console day-one, I loved NSMBU and ZombiU and right now MH3U and LEGO City are eating up my time. But it's kind of sad to see how Wii U gets ignored by nearly every third-party-publisher. That's the point I meant ;) Reply-1
I think the GamePad is a natural fit and since I never played the game in its original release, I'm looking forward to this version. Looks cool, sounds good, really seems to be the ultimate edition. Reply+16
I don't give a s*** about price and specs as long as there aren't any official announcements of console and games, especially the latter. I can't understand why people claim "buy it day1!" or "now I'm interested!" if they don't have any idea of software lineup and console features ... am I the only one?! Reply-20
@barnett666 Nintendo fans are not allowed to play anything else than Nintendo games or what? Your post is BS. I love Nintendo games AND consoles and still I had plenty of fun playing Bayonetta.
And I'm pretty sure Platinum is very happy about working with Nintendo on Bayonetta 2 since its the only publisher who supported our beloved witch. Nintendo has the money and power to promote Bayonetta 2 like EA does with Battlefield. Just sayin'. Reply+12
