The PS3 demo was a letdown for me. I call it a demo because it's very clearly a demo aimed at COD players, it's not final code, and no doubt there will be improvements before release but I'm not going to kid myself thinking that it's any sort of beta test. The word beta no longer means beta test, it's just a new word for demo that younger gamers can spout out at people to try and make themselves feel special because they got to play a game before it launched, without giving two sniffs of a parsnips root whether or not they've helped test a game. /rant
Close quarters fire fights, no vehicles - as a Battlefield player it isn't what I expect from a Battlefield game. But - I understand this is important for the game to sell and getting a COD-player-pleasing demo out this far before launch was probably some sort of marketing requirement. Anyway - fair enough, I can live with that.
It felt sluggish, slower than BFBC2 and after 3 hours of play I had enjoyed myself but was left feeling a bit disappointed. It looks like a completely different game to the PC version - and I reminded myself that it is. Battlefield is a PC game and BF3 most certainly is.
Which is why I have now specced up and bought all the components for a brand new gaming rig to play it on, and am once more mega hyped for this game. Reply0
I've got a PSP, DS and an iPad...
iPads are surprisingly awesome gaming machines, and great companions when playing on a console and seeking forum advice / walkthroughs without the hastle of a big fat laptop on your sofa.
Don't knock it til you tried it ;)

Basically, Apple won't endorse anything that will undermine their business model and revenue streams. Flash would undermine their App Store model if it was available in iPhone Safari. Likewise, enabling 'publish to iPhone' from Flash CS5 undermines the stability of apps on the store as their development is not carried out under their umbrella of tools.
I think the funniest thing that can happen right now would be Adobe to open Flash up. Make Flash CS5 100% free, throw it out to the world, release all the source code. Reply+2
The more I read the phrase "PlayStation compatible VAIOs", the more I want to punch something.
What a crock of shit. Who in their right mind is going to go out and spend over a grand on a new VAIO laptop because it's "PlayStation compatible". How the hell does this benefit PlayStation owners?!
