    THQ's online connectivity has been shoddy for all too long and never really addressed. The debacle with the latest WWE title makes this all too clear despite the claim that it would be much "improved." My point being that their treatment of customers in recent times has been poor.

    THQ loses one of their key franchises and EA now has the ball to make a ton of cash. Let's hope it doesn't turn into a yearly generic afterthought although justifiably I have my doubts.     Reply 0

    Not only have Ubisoft edged away from the true stealthy nature of previous titles, which was the case in Conviction as well but now they get rid of Ironside too?

    Unacceptable. This, for me was the most disappointing showing of E3 and I really don't care if the new actor "clenches his face" who honestly cares? I want stealth again and not unbridled boring, cliched Hollywood style acting. Not impressed.     Reply +1

    That's a real shame. I thought Inside Xbox was great, informative, witty and downright entertaining. I'll be sad to see Inside Xbox go, a real mistake on Microsoft's part IMO.

    Furthermore, all the best to Andy, Dan and the Inside Xbox team that has provided me and I'm sure many others with their great contributions down the years. Thanks guys, you will be missed.     Reply +8

    I've only played Homecoming and thought it was great. Count me in for all of the above, I just hope Konami dosen't botch the remakes like Splinter Cell as Lucodeath mentioned. Reply +1

    UFC 111 was in New Jersey, not New York City which doesn't allow MMA events yet. Hopefully the Career Mode is improved although the preview sounds positive. Reply +1

    I don't actually think Collinsworth is that bad a commentator to be honest. This is much better than the radio announcer of years past. But maybe EA need to go in the direction of NFL 2K5 and have two complete fictional people doing the commentary. Good review. Reply 0

    The presentation in this year's Madden looks fantastic but it still looks like it will fall short... again. It looks like American football fans are going to have to wait yet another year.

    Give us highlights of other games in The Extra Point show like NFL 2K5 and I'd be happy. I just hope Franchise Mode dosen't have a game breaking bug in it like last years version.     Reply +1

  • Bethesda doing more Fallout 3 DLC

    I'm still playing the DLC just now so knowing more is on the way is great. As a 360 owner I also commend Bethesda on releasing DLC on the PS3. I don't like exclusivity agreements and it's not fair that some gamers should miss out on the content because the PS3 is their console of choice.

    Looking forward to the new content. Good job Bethesda! Also as others have said increasing the cap even further would be nice.     Reply 0

  • Madden NFL 10 due out in August

    EA's going to have to step it up this year but when it comes to Madden since they signed the exclusivity deal with the NFL they tend to release half-baked products. I'm sick and tired of all the glitches I can't even play franchise mode in Madden 09 because it freezes or ends up re-signing players I don't want.

    Unless EA Sports fixes this and improves upon the franchise mode I won't be buying it. I coudn't care less about the "visual enhancements" how about you fix the actual game, EA?     Reply 0

    I don't like this but it's clear what Obama's campaign is trying to do, target younger voters and it may succeed. John McCain dosen't know how to use the internet let alone have time to play games.

    That's the differnce between British and American politics. In America you can advertise all you want until the point you drive people insane. Thankfully that isn't happening over here yet.     Reply 0

    I enjoy playing defense. I still find it satisfying laying the big hit on the opponent or grabbing the interception returning it for a touchdown. As for the demo I think this is going to be the most accessible Madden ever and will be great for first time players. Reply 0

    It's good to see an interview with Kurt Angle on a gaming website as he is one of the best there has ever been in the business. As for the game the roster will be smaller and I don't have high hopes for it really with Midway making it. Still if you watch wrestling TNA is better like Angle says. Reply 0

    Good review. I didn't like the save system either and agree with you that it is a love it or hate it type of game. In the end I hated it because of some ropey gameplay mechanics plus the whole 72 hour thing which felt like you were being made to rush through the game. Reply 0

    I was sort of dissapointed when it wasn't released on current-gen consoles so I'm pleased it's coming to the Xbox 360 in the U.K. It's the only alternative to Madden which has become increasingly lazy since they secured the NFL license. I played the demo and I liked it if you want an arcade take on football this looks like your best bet. Reply 0

    Try this:
    At the "select a file" screen, keep pressed L and R buttons and choose one of your saved game files with the A button.
    Now you'll play in the game as Luigi instead of Mario!

    Great review and I pretty much agree with everything you said. The toned down difficulty level isn't necessarily a bad thing in my case as 11 years on I still can't beat Super Mario Bros. 3. Reply 0
