I love capcom, but I do think there has been a decline in quality over the last few years :( The last game from capcom I loved to death was.. (don't laugh) Onimusha-dawn of dreams. Reply0
I can't believe how much the gaming media is getting this wrong. Just about every review has stated the framerate, saying that the PS2 one had an amazing frame rate. However even the US NTSC release of ZOE2 on PS2 had some terrible framerates, especially during the massive battle with the space force, it almost dropped to slow motion!! (I sort of liked it - felt dramatic)
I can say the performance of the Ps3 version is notably patchy but still vastly improved over the PS2 original. Sounds like the 360 one is even better.
Please stop comparing the framerate to the original when you are clearly comparing it with the framerate from your memories of the game. Reply+2
Loved this game, it talked to me.
Unfortunately my 360 died and I still have the game but no 360. So glad this is getting a re-release on the ps3 :D Reply0
@gandhimaster Because it's a challenge. Have you missed the whole hacker culture thing over your life-span?
People want to buy things and want to be able to change what it does because some people prefer to push the limits of things, see what else is possible. Many positive things come out of this way of thinking!!! Reply-4
All my favourite games are about 4-8 hours from title screen to end credits. If the gameplay is tight and I keep going back for more then it's good (zone of the enders, bayonetta, vanquish etc..)
A game that I can complete in a day or two and I want more of feels, to me at least, worth way more than a game that lasts 100 hours but I'm bored of within 5. Most these epic long games are full of filler anyway and if you just removed all that guess what... 8 hours. Reply+1
@Marky264 "It's just Lazy not to model the interior." !!?
LAZY? Yeah because accurately modelling a cars interior is so easy it's lazy not to.. Seriously? Reply+1
Give the guy a chance! If it comes to nothing - so what? Let him give it a go, no reason to completely poo poo all over it before he has released anything. So it might be a big idea and no dev's so far but so what? That's how indie things can start right? You all want something new and far removed from the generic fps's and safe games yet when someone tries to promote an idea removed from that you all shit all over it. Take your apathy elsewhere. Some people want video games to grow up and stop being sexist or non-pc or whatever. I want video gamers to grow up and realise that there is a place for games which are sexist and non-pc just as much as there is for games which contain "artistic merit". For the Video Game medium to be accepted properly like Movies/books etc. We also need to support genre's within that medium which cover a wide range of subjects.
I think people who dig into Lollipop Chainsaw and point the finger at it being sexist should really just accept that this game is a bit of fun.
Though I'm not sure what embarrasses me more, gamers who think it's sexist or gamers who think it's got meaning. It's fun - deal with it! Reply+2
I do miss the "brittishness" of games back in the day. It's not just videogames that have lost this though. UK Cinema, television and in some ways pop culture has become very vapid and americanised. It's sad, some people would go on about how our national identity has been eroded by immigration or whatever. I however believe American television/movies are to blame. Reply+6
First game I have pre-ordered in years, last one was Zone of the enders 2 on ps2 :P
Best action game I have ever played, only bayonetta and Godhand came close. (I think zoe2 wins though simply because I am a massive fan of Multiple missiles - Itano Circus) Reply0
END GAME?? The game just ends. I want a game to end. it's not an mmorpg. This is the problem, Blizzard has totally misunderstood what Diablo is. Reply+2
Pretty sure HL3 will be made to coincide with a new engine they create. The next full version of source will likely be in development and with it something to show off it's graphics and physics, just like HL2 was for SOURCE.
When this new engine arrives who knows, but with a new generation of consoles around the corner, I can see it happening in the next 5 years.
