Personally I think it's a clever move by Microsoft to release the games on both Xbox one and pc. It's a great ploy to push out the Xbox brand further. Let's face it anyone that starts up a game of halo wars 2 on the pc will be launching the Xbox app to play it. So if any ps4 players fancy a game they better get that Xbox chip off their shoulders. Steam, how dare you try to do something different. Think I'd like to try this for windows environment. Not sure if that's an option at the moment. I sit on an armchair so mice are no good. Bungie there is no disgrace in making a u-turn. Speak to M$ they are the masters of it. The people will win. Eurogamer nice if you could add a poll to these kind of discussions, that way devs can gauge from a simple number as to how many people won't touch this "expansion". Reply +4

Where are people getting their information from that people don't buy consoles based on exclusives. I waited a year to decide which console to go with. The battle I had was P$4 or Halo 5. Yup Halo 5 won in the end, actually very happy with my Xbone and have never looked back. Now if only they'd announce Halo Wars 2 (another exclusive) I'd be in heaven. Reply -2

Cant believe people get upset over this, just watched the video and can hardly tell them apart. If they never put the console version in the corner would you even know. For all the trumpeting about the PS4, still don't get it. Same as last gen really, they said the PS3 was so much better. But time after time DF still had the 360 as slightly ahead.

I'm still waiting to see the "POWER OF THE CELL".;)

Maybe I'm missing the point. If you buy a car that is stolen the police will take the car from you not matter what. Same with a car that has finance still outstanding. So dodgy keys, stolen or gained by other means shouldn't be sold. If you buy one then you'll lose it end of. Reply +1

Well that's a bonus then.... Hopefully the game will be FIXED and running well by the time the physical copy gets a release. Not sure I'd buy a day one release game anymore, to many other bad experiences. Reply +3

Never did get this retro gaming thing, no matter what they do to them. Better off left as fond memories. Rather than playing these in 2015 and wondering why I was so easily fooling back in the day. Battlefield 4 anyone? ;-) Reply -14
  • Total War: Warhammer revealed

@TheTingler They probably weren't popular, but they existed and worked pretty well in my opinion.

    C&C Tiberium Wars
    C&C Kanes Wrath
    C&C Red Alert 3
    Supreme Commander 1 & 2
The Lord of the Rings: Battle for middle earth
    Tom Clancy: End War?
    Warhammer: Battle March
    Universe at War

You've aleady mentioned my fav of the lot Halo Wars, god I wish they'd make a sequel. Never really died straight away had a great online following.

Battlestations Midway & Pacific could be played from the main map. But you could take direct control of each unit. Both these games were the most under rated games I've played. Online there was nothing to touch them. Some people might argue these are not RTS games.

I was waiting for the PC Brigade to start banging the mouse and keyboard drum.. There was a good few RTS games that came out on the Xbox 360 that worked perfectly well with a controller.

This I would have to say is my genre of choice, play lots of them on the PC, and lots on the Xbox 360.

Fingers crossed for an Xbox One release.
