Then don't listen to them, if that little bit of information is putting you off violence, then consider all the different weapons and powers as reasons to be chaotic. I myself am being stealthy and lethal, my chaos maybe high but if I've not set off any alarms them I'm happy! Reply+1
People have been clamouring for this type of experience for years I'm sure, it seems harsh to label other likeminded games clones when they just didn't get there first. Reply-1
Been playing on 360 and contrary to master race opinion, it is not absurd, it is rather ace. Just because it isn't the twitch based shooter that you're used to doesn't make the tension any less palpable when you are the last man.
In fact I'd say it is the perfect way to get into the game if you've always liked the idea but found the PC version daunting! Reply+6
I'm still pretty disappointed these guys are doing more gears rather than the balls out FPS's they've made their names with. I'd kill for a real painkiller sequel! Reply-1
Glad to hear they've recovered a little bit of that camp tone from the earlier games. I actually like resi 5 but it is really serious for a resi game, needs more evil mexican dwarves! Reply-1
Been playing dead space 1 again recently. I think people forget that even in the first one you get endlessly respawning enemies at many points and it is in general a very action packed game. If you don't play this one in co op then I really don't know how it is going to change enough to be considered 'gears of dead space'. Reply+1
Like a few others, I don't understand the complaints. They can't make it much less scary when the series so far hasn't been very scary at all.
Also does someone always have to mention Amnesia? Yes it is is scary, but it's not going to help the sci fi horror fans among us who play Dead Space because it is the closest thing to a decent Aliens game we're likely to see. I also imagine it'd be much less fun if you had to hide from the necromorphs in a cupboard. Reply-2
I love my gears but PCF's particular talents in the FPS department seem wasted on a gameplay system which has little room to change. These guys made bulletstorm for gods sake. Reply+1
Alot of people seem to think the setting is the only contributing factor to a 'noir' atmosphere.
This is not true dammit. I'm surprised people aren't more excited to see developers attempt this kind of genre fusion a bit more, rather than complaining that noir doesn't work unless it's dark and snowy. Reply0
Bullshit. I played lots of games during school days and I never became violent or retarded.
I was put to sleep by boredom many times though, maybe they should try genuinely engaging their pupils. The amount of times we had to copy things from textbooks, because the teacher couldn't be arsed, bordered on silly. Reply+15
If he can complete portal2 I don't think he'd retardedly sit in traffic in GTA4 wondering why the game wasn't moving. I imagine he just thought of that whilst playing.. Reply+9
Whatever. I'm just saying day one DLC isn't the end of the world, don't buy if you don't like but don't go telling other people not to as if it's their fault that it exists. Reply-1
But some people just want the complete game, its not their fault that day one DLC exists. Gamers really are an entitled bunch; the problems that exist in the world and our biggest worry apparently is extra content for our favourite games. Fuck me. Reply-10
