Buy it now. Finished this a while ago, and loved every minute of it. Bit easy, but it never gets boring. Reply 0

so whats this Rogue-a-like genre that was mentioned? random maps? or just being a bit rough and tough?

Dungeon crawler with a large degree of randomness (randomicity?) concerning item placement/level generation etc, stat-heavy turn-based gameplay and combat.

But it's scaled back for this one. Unlike Shiren where you lose everything when you die, level's, equipment etc, in Chocobo's Dungeon, you keep your levels and any equipment you actually have equipped.

Imported this on day of release in the states. Great game that's highly recommended. Yes, it's a bit short on challenge, and you'll complete it quite quickly. But it's covered in lots of lovely Squenix polish, and the soundtrack is amazing. Reply 0

Bugger. Didn't know about this. Gutted. D&D got me through high school and gave me a group of friends that I could never replace. Without his influence, my life would have been very different and certainly not for the better. Reply 0

I think it's fantastic, and the score of 7 is a little harsh in my opinion. Ok, so it's not a huge leap from the Gamecube game, and the game certainly plays better on the classic controller, but I think it's certainly worth at least an 8. Reply +1

I quite like this one. I never picked up the oiginal for the cube, despite having the other two. Yes, I could have got Two Thrones at a greatly reduced price, but I have a Wii now so I figured it's a game I want, so why not give the Wii controls a chance. OK, so it's a two year old game, the graphics aren't quite where they should be, but at it's core it's a great game. All the people who keep raising this criticism of 'it's just a port of a cube game' are the same people who are sitting there raving about how good Resident Evil 4 Wii is going to be. A double standard I think. Reply 0

Not entirely sure that I need to buy this, having the GC version, but I probably will anyway. Reply 0
