You appear to have no sense of irony, which is ironic given your name.

Who's the one poster who can be found in every single thread, irrespective of console telling other other gamers what arseholes they are?

You're one of the most pathetically insecure posters on here with your," well it would run at 4k and 200 fops on my pocket calculator, and that's what makes me a 'real' gamer! You peasants suck!"

I don't even disagree with many of the points you raise, it's your desperate need to remind everyone daily of how good your shit smells and what wasters every one else is..

You've raised good points about fanboys whilst not realising you've fallen in deep yourself......

After seeing a long queue of so-called parents with their 8-12 year old kids at the midnight launch of GTAV, asking their kids if they've picked up the right version, I would say this issue is long overdue being brought up and is covered excellently in this article.

The ignorance is deep and widespread.

  • Report: Phil Harrison is leaving Microsoft

  • belziah 06/03/2015

I still don't understand how he managed to design, get manufactured and get software built for the Xbone in 6 months.

    He must be a genius😀

Seems like 'the victims' are out in force today. I met him once at a PS3 pre-launch event. I get the feeling that the reason he left Sony was because he was fed up of Sony' corporate attitude to fans at the time and he that he was having to essentially take the blame for Krazy Ken's fuck up while not being able to mention that Ken was Krazy.

'The victims' who now claim that it's all Phil's fault seem to forget he turned up 6 month before launch.

They also seem to forget that while he's doing a stand up job, Spencer was in every single one of Xbones launch meetings and he seemed happy with what they came with.

I don't think you're alone in being willing to pay twice the price for a new console but I don't think this gen would have made it to 30 million+ in such a short time had that been the case.

I believe 400-450 is the absolute outside upper edge for a successful-ish launch. As CypherQ states, there's an expectation on pricing that's different for each product, and at twice the price I think it's reasonable to be looking at PC hardware.

    Agree with your other thoughts😀

You obviously weren't around for the end of PS2/launch of PS3 and your comment about a decent price is laughable.

It was a decent price for the tech, it was a shit price for a gamimg console.

I take it you also forgot "next-gen starts when we say so....", where they then proceeded to get their arrogant arses handed to them.

I assume you started gaming in 2008?

Good news, though tempered with the thought that a successful Sony can and often has been an arrogant Sony.

Don't use this as an excuse to lay back on your laurels, you've still got lots to do😃😝😁

I don't think Microsoft closed the gap this Christmas globally but they certainly will this year and for gamers of any colour, strong competition is vital.

If Nintendo had Xbone/PS4 power, I suspect they just might have walked away very early with this gen but, Nintendo do what they do and seem to get by.

Would it fair to assume that people like DriveClub?

Errrr, you absolutely did not. You've claimed this is a Sony fanboy site because Sony sold more, to explain DriveClub being above FH2, so why is MK8 no.1?

Couldn't agree more. Loved the gameplay, but what the hell happened to the 'Grand' story we were promised. Grimoire cards? GTFO.

Diablo 3 returned me to my Gauntlet days and I absolutely adored it.

DriveClubs position in the list once again highlights just how utterly shit the the 'review' was. Not sure how it placed above FH2 though, which you know, actually worked at launch.

This list acts as a great to-do list, so many titles that passed me by in the so-called 'age of no games'!

That's exactly my point, all we've heard all year is EG slagging off games about the lack of next-gen gameplay, they then award 20 year old gameplay GOTY.

    PS 5-3

PPS Once again not slagging of the game or platform. Haven't played MK since the SNES days(I was shit) but everyone in my gaming crew swear by it.

    Predictable EUROGAMER hypocrisy!

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Once again, not a criticism of the game, not played it, but the bullshit justification. Twenty year old gameplay is the new next-gen gameplay.

    You couldn't make it up.

    @tiny-Tob

Best post on this site ever!

The tiny percentage of gamers that own all consoles+PC, even on a dedicated site such as this almost makes DF's alledged reason for for existing a bold faced lie.

    It's click-bait pure and simple.

What I do love about DF is when they talk to developers/platform holders to get a technical insight into the development process.

Outside of his blatant editorialising Richard' chat with the MS engineers re the Bone was quite an education. His ability to allow, even me, to believe that I understood what was being said is to his credit.

I've spent this last year pissing myself at his(and Skippy's) teams desperate attempts to dismiss differences this gen that were life and death last gen but mostly, I've been playing and enjoying games, cos, you know, games😊

Anyhoo, hope you've all had a lovely Chrimbo and may the New Year bring you all you need and little bit of what you wish for😆☺️😛

PS thanks to everyone that responded to my enquiry re next-gen gameplay. It seems next-gen gameplay is in the eye of the beholder and I'm alright with thAt.

Accept he's always knocking PS4 games so he can't be as comfortable as you claim. If you can find me a PS4 game he's not knocked it will be the proverbial needle in a haystack.

Apparently he's managed to convince a small band of fuckwits that when he trolls, it's not reall trolling because he's polite and does it with 'a smile in his heart and a skip in his step', meanwhile displaying a constant passive-aggressive hatred to all things Sony.

Mike Channell is Cloudskippa! I claim my 5.

Someone claimed Mike is part of the EG driving game Brain-Trust. Doesn't that just make you all fucking idiots.

To review a driving game and not talk about the handling, you know the heart and soul of err driving games, would be remiss by itself, but any fool can see the review and the score are from two different games.

Oh for the opinion folk out there, if it's my opinion that Cheryl Cole is a musical prodigy it would be wrong. No ifs or buts, just wrong! See how that works!😳
