@wattsn26>Sony is not like Microsoft in their titles, they don't pressure their studios into making sequels they don't want to do, they instead port of said sequels to their other studios.
Isn't that just pressuring a different studio to make a sequel they don't want to do? Reply0
>That's why 'find a way to make coverage of mobile games work on Eurogamer' is on my to-do list for 2012.
To be fair, you took a bit of a step backwards with the new design- the way the old one was set out gave you a space for 'this' kind of content (IE, reviews and features) and another for 'that' kind of content (IE, news). You could have easily added a space for the 'the other' kind of content (in this case, mobile games).
This would have allowed you to give mobile reviews the sort of prominence that they need to be commercially viable, while still making them appear different enough that such content doesn't have to fulfill the same expectations a review of a PC/Console game might, while still giving it the ability to be bumped to the 'proper' article space on a curation basis.
Now instead, with all the content bundled into one linear stream with a rolling popularity chart, mobile reviews are just going to get lost underneath AAA blockbuster reviews and controversial news stories. Reply0
So long as this stays to apps and doesn't infiltrate games, this is fine with me- a bit of consistency for non-gaming software never hurt anyone. Reply0
@CaptainQuint It's probably serving you nothing because you won't have sent the extra information that tells the site that you're an xBox in the UK and should be served *this* advert in *this* format Reply0

Later in the month it will be joined by other on-demand services including 4OD, Blinkbox and Sony's Crackle. The iPlayer will be available via an Xbox Live app from early 2012." Reply0

Seriously, though- it was never an issue and it's not an issue now. That doesn't mean that the same console isn't going to sell to different people at different points in time for different reasons. Reply0
@hiscore What they should do is, next to the score, have a load of text where the reviewer can put some information about their views on more specific parts of the game, such as bugs.
Then, you could read that and it'd give you some more information to use to put that score in context. Reply0
