@Spong It wasn't quite destroyed, our Any overlords even let me have a few minutes on their teeny tiny laptops to write emails to friends and family. Typing by needle point is a bit of a pain, I've selotaped them to my fingers like some kind of budget edward scissor hands. Reply 0

  • The Last of Us preview: Naughty Dog moves into Uncharted territory

I can see where some people's complaints of being herded through the game come from in regards to the Uncharted series, I guess it depends what you want from each game you play.

For me personally both 2 and 3 were perfect for playing over christmas's whilst family are present, as weird as it sounds my older sisters and mother watched me play through both the 2nd and 3rd adventure. It kind of harked back to a time when we all used to play the original Tomb Raider game and my sisters fleeting interest in computer games still burned.

Like most people the series peaked for me on the 2nd and by the 3rd I was growing a little tired of the scripted nature of the action even if the story was still top notch. I am however very much looking forward to how this turns out, you know its going to look great and will be at least a good game, if not excellent. We shall see.

As someone who is used to triumphing with ease through most computer games this one, even when I was doing things right, hurt my very soul. Reply +2

I think there are so few genuinely funny games out there this is a must purchase for me. I'm a bit disappointed that the platforming leaves something to be desired, I wonder how it compares to something like say LittleBigPlanet on the jumping around scale? I know this is clearly no Mario and that was never the intention but many people threw 'too floaty' complaints at LBP and it was fine enough by me. Reply +3
  • The developer behind Activision's first-person Walking Dead game says don't judge it on old footage

@Totza Not to be pedantic but its season premiere's have managed to be the 'biggest telecast for any drama series in basic cable history amongst total viewers'.

Each series has had more viewing figures than the last and the comics/games are fucking huge. It's not bending the truth to say its a big deal right now.

  • TopDrawer 20/12/2012

I haven't played any Final Fantasy games since the few hours I put into FFXII on a friends PS2 but this looks nothing like the games I remember.
The trailer says its a metropolis so why do I only see 4 people on screen?

This is just another example of how the media loves to marginalize these individuals rather than actually try and look into why they took the actions they did. Saying that computer games made him do it is a fucking simplistic view of the issue and that's putting it lightly.
Although gaming is a mainstream hobby now many media outlets still seem to try and use it as an additional example of how these people were on the fringes of society. He was a nerd. He spent a lot of time playing computer games. I'm not saying he wasn't on the fringes of society but this shit stems from childhood issues, not playing on your Xbox too much.
If he only had a copy of Viva Pinata down there I'm sure they'd still find a way to subvert it.
