I'm curious as to how many people leaving comments thought to themselves 'Damn, if they don't release this in Portgual and Poland MS are fucked' before this announcement. Reply-47
Fair enough they have to dance to the platform holders tune when issuing software on their hardware, I think we can all understand that. At least they commit to an ideal on their primary platform though, when they could easily hide behind 'publisher made us do it'. Reply+57
It's pretty irrelevant what controls they put in place because I'm not putting anything that could be even vaguely used as a corporate spy cam in my house.
Quite aside from the fact that everything else about the console is, frankly, shit. Reply+103
The developer clearly doesn't have the talent or resources to deal with an IP of this magnitude and I'm surprised that marvel didn't pull the plug on this before it was "released". Reply0
This isn't a Dead Island game, at least not as far as it's willing to admit. It is instead the product of the team's top-tier talent, and is the most ambitious project it's undertaken to date.
Hang on, so Dead Island was made by Techland's B team was it?
Article has a few things like that.
Also, standard Preview bullshit. What's raved about in the preview becomes a stick to beat the game with in the Review. I need to stop reading these things. Reply+32
2013 was shockingly busted at release and in terms of the match engine, the game today is massively different compared to its launch product because of this. Really basic errors that must have come up during the testing phases of the game were ignored.
Even worse, SIGames reaction to any criticism was really abhorrent. Their forums became a 'criticism us and be slaughtered' zone as they flat out refused to acknowledge problems that would then show up in patch notes as being addressed. It got extremely personal with some of their top guys there and it was all very ugly.
I can't buy another one of these. They've taken the game in such a wild WWFan direction it isn't that enjoyable for me anymore. I'm sick of them adding features that do nothing and how passive the entire game experience is.
Loads of people probably still love the game and power to them, glad they enjoy it but for me personally I can't continue wasting money on something so broken at launch and so..uninnovative (is that a word? I don't think it is). It needs a proper competitor. Reply+12

Poland and Portugal not supported at Xbox One launch, importing near ruled out
So that means this story is actually 'Xbox One not available somewhere else when it is available in UK'.
Surely this happens all the time in games, films, books...pretty much anything released?
