These guys are model developers. While more and more companies lock down their games to mods, releasing such an extensive toolkit is a charming move. Reply+6
Haha. Microsoft isn't going to mention always online at their event even if they did have it. There is no way they could spin it in a positive light and they know the room will fill with groans.
It wouldn't surprise me if they put every effort into hiding it until release. Reply+18
I'm loving the beta right now, it is magical. My main criticism is that they haven't come up with any new game modes other than the old Annihilation and Victory Points.
Scripted missions like this Theaters of War don't feel like they count. Score Victory could be fun.
Would also be nice if they included "options" in Skirmish mode, such as the ability to turn off Commanders/Doctrines, vehicles or artillery. Perhaps even multiplying resource income by 150% for more intense battles.
These sort of changes could add considerable life length to a game for a player like me. Reply+1
Looking good! I hope it does well. Though telling the copyright holders that their game is "crap" and "very horrible" is definitely no way to get on their good side... Reply+11
How much of a role did Sega Studios Aus play in the development of M2TW? I always just assumed it was all done by UK-based The Creative Assembly Reply0
I have never played a MOBA, but based on what has been said, it seems like it would fit perfectly into the Total War style of gameplay. I trust in TCA. Reply+2
Firaxis this is a great game, but please for the love of god, make these special scenarios playable online. They all feel like they are built for competitive and cooperative play, but we are forced to play against bots. Reply0
Nice EG, joining the low score bandwagon. I've been playing it for the last few days and the problems are grievously overstated. At its core, this is as good as any Sim City game, perhaps even better. It is just plagued with launch issues which are already on their way out. Reply-116
I really enjoyed SEV2. It reminded me of the older PC games set in WW2. It wasn't a flawless game though, and if they can somehow fix the things that didn't work so well (linearity, dull story) then this could be a real winner. Reply+1
@ronecvan_is_here I'm sorry but Tomb Raider and Uncharted are very, very similar games, even if you deny it through vague separations of the storyline. Reply+16
