There is no doubt, PS4 is gonna be successful, just like it predecessors, but if MS set a lower price point than Sony, ( which I think it will and should ) then the Americans will snap it up like an Apple product.
UK too, will embrace it but the Japanese and rest of Europe need convincing. Reply+11
@IvorB Probably right, but the shit still sells and makes Capcom money. Mikami leaving is probably the reason of the series downfall, quality wise if not the sales. Reply0
This ain't the first game to suffer frame rate probs on Wii U. Nba 2k13 is horrendous compared to the Ps3 version. Off tv though, it plays sublimely, as does the Sonic Racing game.
Played Wii U demo on gamepad screen, frame rate seemed fine but the controls on Resi have always been clunky, no? Reply+2
@MPuzzlemanLives Sonics solo efforts on Wii alone have managed over 10 million sales. Add to that the olympics titles, we're talking about close to 30 million sales on the Wii only.
To question Nintendos partnership with Sega and Sonic is a personal opinion of the writer but obviously not a well thought out one. Reply+2
@dogmanstaruk Sorry but that article is very ignorant. The fact the writer thinks that Nintendo can't compete with Sony and MS is laughable.
He mocks Sonic, but barring FiFA and Battlefield, Sonics value is worth more than any of EA properties.
Lastly, when someone says Nintendo should go multi platform, they're wrong. The reason Nintendo sells millions of their software is because it's locked to their own hardware, which they know inside out and can get the best out of.
Same goes for ND, Polyphony, Sony Santa Monica for PS, Turn 10 and EPIC for MS. These studios know their preferred platform and would struggle to get the same performance from another. Reply0
There was a time when Fifa games were shit, then they improved but the last few iterations have been lazy and dressed up with fancy naming of so called "improvements".
The Wii U and Vita versions show how lazy they are,but guess what, owners of said consoles are not casual dumbfucks you can piss on and expect good sales. Reply+3
Yamauchi is one of a few who don't play to the gallery or bow down to the suits.
GT5 has it's flaws but is still my most played game this gen and the fact Yamauchi wants to improve it, rather than jump on the Next Gen bandwagon is refreshing.
There'll probably be about four Forza games on Nextbox duration, opposed to probably 2 GT games on PS4.
Forzas a great game, Driveclub has potential but GT is still a phenomenan and can take it's time on PS4. Reply+9
@Ryze Due to the lower price points, I think it's safe to say Ps3 and Wii U will outsell Ps4 end of year. As for MS consoles, it depends on the price difference between both their consoles.
You can guarantee the huge price difference between Ps3 and Ps4. I'm not sure MS would get away with a similar strategy. Reply0
Concentrate on the games and get rid of Kinect 2 and it has a chance. Otherwise, only in the US, it will sell. Even then it depends on the price compared to Ps4. Reply+2
Looks like we're gonna have quite a wait, for truly next gen showpieces. Preview comes across as not much of a difference from current machines, apart from screen being busier. Reply+3
@ollyn Games industry is a different beast compared to the Gamecube era, so is Nintendo. It's franchises are of unequal stature.
Case in point, Tomb Raiders budget has dented it's millions plus sales. Luigis Mansion 2, probably will eventually overtake TR sales. What do you think LM2's budget was compared to TR?
The next Xbox: everything we know so far
I will no doubt prefer the PS4, due to Sony catering towards my gaming tastes, but I know from past form, a ridiculous price point beckons for PS4.
Nextbox will be retail £70 cheaper, I reckon. Reply +2

Wii u version, same strategy. Gimmicks are added quickly, they couldn't be bothered to port the new engine over. LAZY.
Early console adopters are a clued on bunch and will see it for what it is and therefore avoid it. Reply +2

That's the real reason for no need of online passes, it's also why EA will favour Nextbox next gen. Reply +4
