@Nikanoru
I think the name came as representation of how it is everything in one or at least tries to be and no doubt fail.
They probably took it from The Lord of the rings, you know "One Ring to rule them all".
Sort of creepy if you ask me.
Probably some M$ exec sympathised too much with Sauron. Reply+2
Well that's strange, even though I knew M$ was full of shit just like Apple, I somehow had a, tiny bit of doubt that they would actually implement some crazy shit like this.
Well this can go two ways either Sony have something similar in works or M$ just lost out of the console business and went into television.
Although if sony don't have something against secondhand games then M$ may end up as publishers favourite.
Then again the way I see it the consumer is fucked and I mean fucked like there is no tomorrow.
So much for vote with your wallet and freemarket and whatever stuff Capitalism has to offer. Not much you can do when they don't leave you a choiche.

I don't know, I always wanted a Kotor 3 or 4 or whatever but now that Bioware turned to literal shit, I just don't believe they can pull of something so good as Kotor 1.
No doubt it will be shallow like all their recent games full of "button awsome" and "mass market appeal wookie sextastic". Reply-1
I think there were some rumors when "The Withcer 2" came out that the third will, maybe have some form of MP or COOP, but I think they have seen how much shit it garners with fans and that it doesn't particularly increases sales, if not outright hinders them so I guess they stuck with SP all the way.
Good thinking nice to see some backbone in the gaming industry, rather than the pretentious "artistic integrity". Reply+4
That's a rather high price tag considering it is just a print.
Then again if it stays at 50 or 100 prints it may be worth while to invest in, if not it's pretty much pissed out money... well that or a fancy poster for those that like to collect. Reply+3
I remember playing LA Noire and wanting it to be good but it just didn't happen it was just a great concept that failed at execution.
Seems like they have very good ideas for concepts but fail at implementation.
Games like LA noire and Whore of the Orient need minute deatil and dedication. Thing is the AAA games department last had that with... I don't know maybe Darksouls and Demonsouls.
Can't really think of anything else that tried to push interesting game concepts without turning it into an onrails shooter or a movie disguised as a game.
LA Noire was pretty much all talk an no walk, would have been better as a high end indie game /kickstarter project. Reply0
Yup the nextbox is shaping up nicely as an expensive set-top box.
So far with Ninty underperforming and M$ seeming to get out of gaming and into television, Sony do seem to be the favourite so far, as in if someone actually wants to... you know... play games on their console. Reply+1

Rage wasn't a full game it was just a consumer paid for techdemo to showcase the new ID engine and it failed even at that.
No shocker, really, that there is no Rage 2, that was probably clear by the time the game released. Reply-3
There's just one thing I don't get.
So they use the Thief name to make a game that is not a "Thief" game.
They do this to sell it to people who do not like the old Thief games in the first place i.e the mainstream crowd.
Now what I don't really get is why use the Thief name at all.
They just piss of the old fans and besides the new fans they want, don't care if it is called "Thief" or "Who Touched My Ass in The Dark", in fact the latter proably would be a bigger success. Reply+3
@AgentDaleCooper
Well that's not very hard to achieve.
Darksiders was very dull and unimaginative in the first place.
Especially Darksiders 2.
That one looked like WOW and Diablo 3 had an offspring with the worst qualities of both.
To me it was really no surprise noone wanted to buy them out in the first place. Reply-1
"It's going to be connected. It's going to be social. It's going to be immersive. It's going to be interactive," he said.
So in other words it's going to be shit... now there's a surprise. Hope it bites M$ in the ass.
I just really wish Sony managed to get back some of the lost ground from this gen.
Sony seem the only one from the console giants who at least remotely care about the "core, hardcore, old school" or whatever enthusiastic gamers are called these days. Reply+25
Well it's nothing new that the nextbox will be a glorified set-top box that happens to play games (inbetween advertisements probably.)
I just hope M$ falls on its nose with it. Reply+4
Mind you it would help if they could write believable/good romances in the first place then it may not be such a shock to kiss a "dude" in the game. Reply+6
You know I may be a born cynic but between the X-com preorder bonus and the rather hectic developement of this game I just feel this will be overhyped and underdelivered.
There is just too much talk and downplaying going on for my tastes around this game.
Of course I retain the right to be utterly wrong about it.
Then again I was one of the few people who tought that Dishonored was pretty medicore and not worth a full price purchase despite everyone praising it to high heaven and back. Reply-2
Oh boy this whole "cost issue" is pure shareholder speculation.
These are the kind of self-fulfiling prophecies that govern the world.
As for the issue of pilots for games... I just can't see that working.
The game industry basically relies on half truths and insane hype building to sell its products.
In fact if they really want to cut production costs fire at least half of the PR department and send less doritos and mountain dew.
Some games have such insane marketing campaigns that if I had to guess it equals the producton cost of the game itself. Reply+1

Xbox One second-hand games will charge a fee to play
Well I guess it's wait and see. Reply 0
Well I wouldn't be surprised if M$ left Europe to Sony what with half their services only available in America anyway.
Also I don't understand anymore first they say you ahve to pay a fee now they say you don't.
Seems like M$ just dropped the bomb to see if it would create enough of a shitstorm that they have to backtrack on it. Reply +1
