Saturday Soapbox: Guilt By Association
You can spend hours without seeing another person. The map is 225km square with a max of 50 people on it so at times you really do feel lonely. Most often you'll want to avoid other people anyway. I played for 10 hours yesterday and that was the only person I met. Reply +1
I'm surprised to see no mention of Day Z. Never have I felt guiltier in a game than last night when I led a group of zombies that were chasing me to a poor injured player I stumbled upon. At first I thought "nice one, he can distract them for me for a bi...t" Then as he was slowly being killed he he started begging me for some help, offering me loads of rewards and loot if I helped him, and ultimatly begging for his life. There`s been lot's of moments like this this, stand off's in a room where neither of us wants to shoot but occasionally my itchy trigger finger acts before I have time to think.
All of this without a narrative or QTE in sight. Reply +2
LittleBigPlanet Karting beta "soon", sign-ups now
BETA testing is a great way to get feedback for a game before release. A demo is a taster of a finished game. Pretty straight forward really. Reply +1

Saturday Soapbox: Magical Manuals
I love a good manual and it's reassuring to see that some game companies still understand the importance of having something tangible in your hands when purchase a game nowadays. Reply +5

Of course the Portal comparisons are inevitable but putting that aside this is a fun budget puzzle game. Yes, the environment graphics become a bit tiresome but the overall feel is quite satisfying. I'm sure if they had more resources the environments would have progressed along with the game making for a more fulfilling experience.
The puzzles themselves are great along with the physics involved with the shifting dimensions. The narrative is weak at best but just about gets away with it.
Anyway, I'm enjoying it and for a budget game I think it's worth a try if you liked the puzzle elements of portal. I would have probably scored it a 7. Reply 0
