@bad09 Cheers my friend, i've been away from gaming news for some time.

Good to know, i have a PC too. However i have a Q9550 and a GTX 570 so i'm not sure if it runs well and i'm not thinking about upgrading it (i'd rather save for the PS4 which apparently is a PC-like console -- i'm still waiting for Valve to reveal the Steam Box specs and stuff) since money has becoming short here in Portugal, GTA4 had a pretty bad performance.

Vice City was my favorite so far, i love tropical environments and stuff.

Do you guys think this will be available for PS4 too?

Should i wait for PS4 or get it before?

I'm still confused with the current-gen/next-gen same game releases thing.

  • EL1TE 24/01/2013

"3DS and PS-vita infrastructure let alone developing games for them are extremely different beasts. Even just the screens as you mention are completely different resolutions/functions."

Does Wii U, PS3/X360 and PC also have the same resolution?

At least if people are going to lie at least they could make sure they know how to do it.

  • Valve opens Euro office, updates Steam terms

  • EL1TE 01/08/2012

When i joined Steam this TOS wasn't there, so basically if i want to keep playing the games i've previously purchased i need to agree to this? I remember there wasn't something saying that whenever Valve changed their TOS in the future i had to agree so i could continue using what i've purchased. Reply +12

  • EL1TE 05/07/2012

@Kyleman Well at least they could make Crisis Core available on PSN so people could play on the Vita, as well Final Fantasy Type-0 (English). I guess there's a lot to play until X HD comes out, specially when the PSOne support for the Vita is coming. Reply +3

Is it only me or are people really paranoid these days? =\

I understand Fus Ro Dah is something popular on the Internet, but are people going to trademark everything now? First was the Scrolls thing, now this. Oh well.

  • Sony releases PlayStation Vita firmware v1.66, replaces yesterday's borked update

  • EL1TE 04/04/2012

@fongy Yeah even the PSP games on Vita look much better, take a look at this screenshot i've found on another forum: http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/2918/nctype0vitavspsp.jpg

I also see a lot of people that would love to have an HD version of Final fantasy VII, i think it wasn't released yet because there's something that doesn't allow SE to do it, maybe there's some paper that the FF creator (Hironobu Sakaguchi) signed for those games which wouldn't allow the games to be remade without him, since he is not on Square anymore, that sir has my respect forever, the games he created made me dream so much and thinking about good things. Sadly i don't feel like buying a Nintendo just to play his games (Mistwalker dev). The "Last Story" was made by him, got great scores (appart from the graphics section, which i think it has to do with being on the Wii but i still don't understand why reviewers took this as a bad point when they knew it was a Wii title in the first place).

Now we have to do it wait, like always lol. I've never played a Strategy RPG before, so i've bought Disgaea 2, i love it (might grab FF tactics too later). But still doesn't give me nearly the same pleasure as a FF7/8/9 (damn i call this game so many times haha). Lastly i'd like to say that i've learned English from Final Fantasy, when we started to have English in school the professors were like WTF how does this kid know all of this, bad side was that i've spend most of the time with games and didn't do the homework :>

@fongy Apple and the developers/publishers that remade their titles for the iOS made a lot of money, as you can see there's a lot of people who still want to play old games, again those are optional even on the Apple Store, they're there for those who want them not those who don't.

As for making them all HD that would take a lot of time and they would cost more (not a big deal for me anyway), would be nice, however making a Final Fantasy 7/8/9 in HD would take a LOT of time, by the time they finish them 'some' people already got bored of waiting and moved on or played the normal ones. I'd love to play Final Fantasy X, i know they're making the HD version for PS3/Vita, while i wait for this title i'd like to play a FF RPG game on my Vita, while i have FF1, 2 and 4 available i don't feel like playing those, they seem great but i'd prefer to play the 7/8 and 9 that i have on CDs and on PSN (which i've purchased again to play on the Vita, else i'd use the CDs on my PS3).

I know a PC isn't exactly nearly the same as a console, however i can play pretty much all old PC games i want on my PC which is great. As for my PS3 i can't play PS2 games, which is very sad, now they decided to launch PS2 classics so people have to buy the games again, which for me isn't a problem because i never had a PS2, the problem is that there's barely any PS2 classics in the Store, and all this stuff takes time to negotiate and make them a PS2 classic. I think that the people who want PSOne classics support are those who want to play Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy and plenty more great PS1 titles, and i can't blame them because they're great, i can't play them but on my PS3 because i don't have a PSP. Either way at the end Sony and the publishers would make a lot of money with this, and they know they will, i've read plenty of forums of people complaining they want PSONe classics support or they won't get the Vita, i bought mine not just for PSOne classics, but also for new possible titles for the platform, but while i wait i'd like to play those titles from PS1 i love while i'm not home, which is not possible right now.

Lastly i'd like to point out that the PS3 supports PSone games, why wouldn't the PS4 support PS2 games? I think it's balanced. ^^

Again sorry for the huge text =)

@fongy It doesn't interfere with Next Gen games, since it's OPTIONAL and would allow people to replay titles they loved again i seriously don't understand your problem with the PS4 supporting PS1/PS2 games. You only use that mode if you want, as for those who care like me it's a great feature, not mandatory but great, because when the PS2 came out for example i never had the chance to buy one, and there's many games from PS2 i'd like to play.

I've purchased the Vita not just for (but it was one of the reasons) to play PSOne classics, i can finally play Crash Team Racing, FF789, Resident Evil, Soul Reaver etc while away from home. Again i don't see the problem of having an additional feature that pleases some while it doesn't interfere with anyone else since it's optional, it doesn't use the Hardware while you play the platform specific games, all it uses is an extra amount of space on the Drive/Memory Card, again optional if you don't play them.

EDIT: Features of the Firmware updated http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/Technical-Help/System-Software-V-1-66-is-now-available-to-download-for-the/m-p/15639241

The update will feature the following:

[After 10 Minutes] option added to Settings > [Power Save Settings]
An arrow icon is introduced to show when PS Vita finds new activities in LiveArea.
The Caps Lock icon in the On-Screen Keyboard can now be fixed to allow a continuous string of upper case text.

    Other features also included:

When searching for location data, users now have the option to ‘Retry’ and ‘Cancel’ when a failure occurs.
A progress bar is introduced for application installation.
A direct link to PlayStation Store is made available for new applications that users may discover on near.
Users can now update data at any time within near, provided they are within the same location.
The display time of notification alerts has been reduced from 5 seconds to 3 seconds.
Functional improvements have been made in the following games and applications: Unit 13, Gravity Daze, near.

Sorry for the big text ^^
