Sony prevented Portable 3rd HD from being localised by refusing to make the necessary updates to their Adhoc Party software. A stark contrast to Nintendo, who are publishing MH3U in Europe and hosting the western servers. Reply+4
At peak times you can still find ~2000 people on the EU MH3 servers. Even when I've gone on at some ungodly hour there's been far more than 23. Reply+3
It's hardly ideal having attachments for a handheld (especially ones as bulky as this), but I'll definitely get one if Monster Hunter's released here. My 3DS doesn't leave the house anyway, so it's a minor inconvenience. Reply+10
Why are you acting like this is a first for the series? There were G versions of the first two games as well, and even the Portable ones are based on the numbered instalments.
They've done more than just port Tri to the 3DS. It's an enhanced version containing far more monsters and equipment. Reply+4
I love the excuse that it's best played with everyone in the same room. What multiplayer game does that NOT apply to? Yet many of them still include the option to play online. Reply+1

The PSP had full camera control on the d-pad, which people controlled with their left index finger. Aside from being a shit thing to have to do, it's not possible on the 3DS due to the d-pad being lower than the slider. Reply+3
Capcom hopes Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will spark a "breakthrough" in the west

I think XIII-2's encounter system is great. The perfect compromise between random and on-screen. Reply 0
