@ATARI Yep 2 680s here. No way I could justify a Titan from the previews, it looks like being mid way between a 680 and a 690/680sli, while being priced like the latter.
So for 690/680sli owners, it looks like the only decent upgrade would be a Titan sli setup, which would be a fair amount of cash, and still mean the same potential problems that sli supposedly brings like driver support and such. Reply0
@ATARI 6GB is indeed a waste, nothing will benefit from it at he moment. I guess the 6 GB is about attempting to justify sale price vs 6GB 7970s rather than being required for performance.
Review embargo ends on Thursday, will be interesting to see benchmarks.
Possibly difficult choice for existing 690 or 680 sli ( as I have atm) owners, as a single card Titan appears to be a downgrade, but 2 Titans would be a fair amount of cash. Reply0
@ATARI 2 7950s will likely match the fps averages of Titan but as you mention, the frame time consistency makes it a lesser experience.
Leaked benchmarks suggest a 690 still has a decent lead over Titan anyway, so at the same price it's about the fps vs sli support and potential vram limitations.
And yes Titan supports full voltage based overclocking, which was otherwise disabled on the kepler range, apart from a batch of msi gtx680 lightning iirc. Reply0
The coma thing sounds stupid. Nothing is more sure to ruin any possibility of immersion than the game mechanics explicitly acting to remove you from the 'realism' of the environment.
And for all the bugs, at least in Driv3r and Parallel Lines did feel reasonably immersive in terms of the driving aspect. Reply-5
I really don't understand why this sells so well. It does nothing better any other fps, and lacks any of the innovation seen in other titles. It doesnt even seem to be advertised much (that i've noticed anyway), so what makes all these folk go out and buy CoD? Reply+1
Was good to meet some EG people in real life, though as I'm crap with names I'm already struggling a bit to recall who was who. Congrats again to the winners, and cheers to EG/Tom & Tom for organising a great event.

No mod tools would be going back on what they had previously suggested for BF3. I do hope it's just an initial public stance so as to be able to sell dlc in the shorter term after launch though.
I bought GC Animal Crossing from them when they were the last place claiming to have new stock, and it turned up unsealed and missing the memory card that should have been included. Reply0
I fear the set piece creator could end up being a bad idea. How long before you notice certain setups that seem to exploit the AI or whatever, thus cheapening any victories you gain. Hopefully i'll be proved wrong though. Reply0
