I find the notion of forcing people to use hot keys or shortcuts bizarre. I don't have the time nor the inclination to learn them and it certainly isn't user friendly, it's akin to dos.

Playing by your own set of rules doesn't mean that the game is inherently difficult. For instance I could make up a rule that I play Assassins Creed with only one health block and must never be discovered by the enemy, that isn't clever design on the programmers part.
Xcom is genuinely difficult but it's a bit early to know whether it has been a commercial success. Reply+9
I like how people suggest it's ubisoft drm that has caused piracy of their games as though there was no piracy before. Just buy the games and support your hobby, there really is no excuse in the era of Steam sales. Reply0
As someone who has gone without sleep for 3-4 days quite a few times in my life I can tell you it isn't harmful. Citing someone who dies after 6 - 30 months without sleep is a whole different matter and I'd suggest that there are some serious problems in a persons life for that to happen, extreme stress certainly can be harmful.
