Ubisoft's newest princely adventure was judged to be just too short and forgiving by Tom in his review, but if you're after a gentle platforming meander through some truly beautiful scenery, this could be the game for you.

New media's darlings spray the love all over the Prince's cel-shaded features in this homily to the spring-legged one.
Prince Of Persia - Elika Video
25/11/08 [4 comments]
More than just a potential love interest, Elika is an essential part of the Prince's mission. She's handy in combat, will help you across chasms too large to leap under your own steam and is quite handy with a breville toastie maker - providing light refreshments as you explore.

He's a nasty piece of work this one, you can tell by all that blue stuff coming out of his chops. Never a good sign.
Prince of Persia - Trailer Video

Ubisoft's cel-shaded adventure aims to redefine the Prince is all his wall-running, chasm-leaping, sword-swinging glory. It certainly looks the part, and the pudding in which the proof shall lie isn't far off at all.
Prince of Persia - Light and Dark Video
28/10/08 [1 comment]
It's a good thing that the eternal forces of Light and Dark are always at each other's throats, the plots of a hundred thousand games, films and flimsy fantasy novels would be entirely useless without them. Elika explains the Prince's take on the old rivalry.

Prince of Persia - Combat Video

Prince of Persia has been reinvented again, and will come to the current gen party wearing an entirely new outfit. By switching the combat emphasis to one-on-one duels the Ubisoft team hopes to have crafted an experience which is more intense, personal and exciting than the series' previous titles. This combat gameplay video should give a fair chance to decide whether they'll succeed.

Quite the whimsical trailer, this, nicely contrasting the fluidity and brutality of the Prince's new world. Beautiful.

Ben Mattes takes us on a wild and crazy journey through the world of the Prince. Well. Wild and crazy might be a bit extreme. Wild or crazy, maybe. Not both. Look, it's Friday afternoon, alright?

Being a member of the middle Middle Eastern aristocracy isn't that popular at the moment, what with all the terror and all. However, Ubisoft are willing to take a gamble on you all being open minded, liberal types with a good sense of adventure.

Prince of Persia is set to return soon and Ubisoft is teasing it with this, the second in its "speed art" series. More at UbiDays, presumably.

There are good and bad points to getting your dev staff to present little videos like these. They know the game intimately, are always on hand and are usually good judges of what people will find interesting. Unfortunately they aren't usually that great on camera and often over use slightly awkward phrases like 'check it out'. Lovely picture though.
